Carnival prices moving in the right direction for the Aug 8 cruise but still a long way off the just over £660 they were a couple of weeks ago.

I imagine that Carnival prices are dropping like a stone to entice new business to replace all those folks who have canceled since the latest drama.

Either there's a major problem with the base design of their ships or someone's sabotaging them to drive the share price down or they are having the most appalling run of luck in the history of cruising.

    Edited to add:
Here's a link to a summary of the recent Carnival troubles. It's out of date already as it was written before the ship (Triumph) broke free of her moorings.

I heard about their troubles on cruise critic which was why I was surprised when the price of the cruise I was looking at shot up. Hopefully after the latest news that they have cancelled more cruises on the triumph the prices will drop down.;)

    Help how?

Decide the date/itinerary and shop around to see if it is in budget
Both the above involve open jaw flights

You just missed the bargain Azamara July 24-24th

Neither of these will be cheap as one is up market and the other is new.

here are the links for your 2,

    Me again!

I have been in contact with another US TA who says they can get me an outside Guarantee cabin on the Celebrity for 3 - 10th August 10nights to Norway for $3807 plus they can offer $375 obc plus the 123 Go promo (I have asked them to double check that I can use the 123 Go and they have said definitely yes as I am booking through a US TA, there is also a UK cruiser who has done this on cruise critic) which means another $300 obc and a drinks package for me and my husband (worth over $900).

Now we aren't fussed on the itinery but would like to try Celebrity and although I don't drink much it would be nice to know that DH could have a couple of beers without counting cost.

I am torn between this and the Carnival Legend which goes to Russia.

Need to book by 30/4/13 for the 123 Go promo.

Sounds good, we are seriously thinking about booking the Russia cruise you mentioned the itinerary is great.

That does sound a great deal though, which itinerary is it? The promo offers are very tempting...

We got the best deal going direct to Celebrity £350 cheaper than any travel agent on a guarantee aqua cabin

If you are looking to book a cruise in the UK please avoid the travel agent we just returned from a Cunard cruise with we had a horrible experience caused by them don't know if you are allowed to name and shame on here but they are an anagram of reado avoid at all costs you will get a better deal from any other travel agent and not get booked into a backpackers hostel for the same price others have paid for a 4/5 star hotel
