Yup, buy all our baby's shoes on there. Get her measured in clarks, then buy the shoes that would have cost 26 quid for about 3 quid. :j

Doesn't seem to work on mine though. The cost of the second hand branded boots all seemed to me so close to the new price that when you take into account p&p it just wasn't worth it.

I am becoming a bit of an ebay addict ;)

  • Me too.

I just wish there was a cheap service to do all the packaging and posting. That is such a pain.

The postage cost also lets it down as cheap heavy things are just not really possible to sell.

Ahhhh! Check out this person. Thessgroup. I've used him quite a few times and he's excellent. £6.99 next day delivery up to 10kg, £5 for 2-3 day delivery up to 30kg. They pick up same day (which suprised me the first time when I had 7 parcels to send and only 3 in boxes) but brilliant service so far.

    HTH!

You can try collection on for items

I look for collection only for furniture/bathroom fittings etc.
  • Hi Brassic, (and everyone else)

Sorry I've not replied for a few days i'm having the week from hell!

Stopped smoking for one whole day then me and my BF had a huge row over nothing at all! I also received some bad news so started straight back up (no excuse I know) So I will make another attempt soo ;)

Been to a funeral this morning which was very sad so all in all a bit of a rubbish week so far, hopefully things will brighten up. Sorry to moan but had to get all of that off my chest :)

Anyway I hope you are getting on ok with your new boots! What a nightmare you've had. I would take them back though and get your money back, I've done it before after wearing them for about 3 weeks!

Also splased out a whole £15 on boots for myself from peacocks, look gorgeous but they make me want to cut my feet off!!

Whoever invented heels was an evil person I think! I want my flip flops back!!

Sorry your boots aren't good - I'm fed up with shoes altogether now - my timberlands are too tight :boohooooooooo: but they're warn and marked now so I'm going to have to wear them despite my little toe going numb, probably in preperation for falling off :sob: Why can't a size 6 be a size 6

In fact, you're going to have to excuse me feeling sorry for myself. My lovely healthy bank balance is now looking unhealthy due to car tax coming out of it, and still no sale :( Bloke down pub was there the other night but disappeared before I had time to ask him, but apparently will find out tomorrow night. Please please keep fingers crossed.

Have been desperately trying to sort out an easy way to share spreadsheet with dh so he can update it but have failed dismally. It's just too fantastically large and snazzy for most of the free programs out there and I'm fed up now. DH phoned to say the last program I tried (which wouldn't sum properly and was so slow that Jade Goodie could probably have worked it all out quicker) was working fine for him. Raaahhhh. I got in a bit of a tizz and just told him it would be much easier if I could just look at his accounts and do it myself, with the result he's got all snotty with me :(:(:(

I'm now feeling really depressed, I'm just too tired, it seems like I'm carrying this all on my own and I just want a bit of support. <sniff>

On the upside he is cooking me a lovely fish pie tonight though, so he's not all bad :p

  • Brassic,

Just reading through and this struck a chord with me;-:p
Lastly, just as I think I've got budget sorted, eldest dd comes home saying she's got through auditions for keyboard lessons (only 8 places available apparently) and thats 52 quid a term. It's annoying because I was never asked if I wanted her to have lessons, and she's already had 2 by the time I found out!!!

SNAP, my daughter came home all excited saying her and another lad had been chosen to play the violin at school!
That was fine, then after her first lesson she came home with violin in tow, and a certificate "Congratulations your child has been chosen to go to the local MAPAS (music and performming art school) every MONDAY night, its at a local high school.

Ok, so we take her the next Monday. Then she come out with a form it's only £52 subs!

But on the forms (in small print) it does state that if you are in receipt of Working Family Tax Credits, then simply photocopy your forms from the inland revenue, and send off to MAPAS. Viola - it becomes free.

Sorry to ramble, just wondered if your daughter was in a similar group/organisation such as MAPAS?

If not/your unsure....find out. Cant hurt you?

    Regards
    pot
    xx

    ps - your doing brilliantly!

Thanks Pots - will do my best to find that out!

Today is obviously just not my day. I applied a week or so ago for a Tescos credit card in the hope to get more points on my shopping (obviously to be paid off each month). Was refused. Today phoned my bank as they seem quite keen to give me products to see if I could swap my extoritionate cahoot loan to them.

Again I was refused (nearly said confused then) but was gobsmacked to find out that looking at my experian file she said it was clear up to July but apparently has a default on from August. I haven't defaulted on anything. How do I get the cheapest online experian credit report please folks so I can find out what's going on? (Have had the freebee one before btw so can't do that this time round). I'm cross now.

    Cheers!

Edited to add - Have just ordered it online for 2 quid. Will make depressing reading no doubt.

  • Hey Brassic,

I'm sorry your feeling a bit down in the dumps. Seems we're both having a bit of a crap week :(

When you say you have had the free report, is that from experian when you sign up then cancel? Because you can also get a free credit report from https://www.annualcreditreport.co.uk.

My bank balance is pathetic at the moment also. I've got to go on holiday in less than two weeks and I've had to use the money I had saved on car repairs. I really don't know what I'm going to do!

Guess we're not doing so well on our targets at the moment! Everyone has to have a bit of a tough month now and again. We can't be angels :A all of the time!

    Keep your chin up x

Thanks for that link, just tried it but apparently my region hasn't gone live yet. Ah well.

Hope you get your holiday sorted and have a great time - where are you going?

I've still made overpayments this month, so all is not lost. But won't be able to make any more now, as my next few wages from the pub will be paying for the car tax (supposed to come out of sale money) and my extra tight boots.

    Ne'r mind! Onwards and upwards!
