Hi there,
I have been doing a lot of fiddling with figures etc, and reckon that with some very careful spending, we could be reduce our dfd from May 2011, to Oct 2009 :O :O :O
However, it's going to be a very long hard slog. I've got my debt diary to try and keep me motivated, but wondered if anyone else is in the same situation who would like to join in so we can keep each other motivated?
I'm really chuffed that the possibility is there to do it, but worried that we'll let things slide if we don't take care. Any takers?

Hi Brassic,
As you can see from my signature, my debt is a little under yours but above most I think
So I think it would be great if we could spur each other on, Really want to get my Debt Free date down.0 -
Hi there owesomuch,
That'd be really great. :j My current target as you can see from my sig is the 1st cahoot loan, which I'd like to have paid off by the very latest April 2007 The ways in which I plan to do that are :
1 - Sell my car - someone coming to look at it this afternoon - :j Wish me luck.
2 - Am working 5 evenings a week in a bar, and plan to put the resulting money, and the insurance/petrol money from the car into the loan.

Wishing you the best of luck with the car, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
You seem to be very focused, so hopefully you can be a good influence on me
At the moment I am working every hour god sends at work and I am very tired but I go on holiday at the begining of Novemeber (OH paid so just need spending money) So while still paying debts off anything left is going towards my holiday.
I'll sort out my signature to list my individual debts at some point and then I can set myself goals like you.
Good Luck :j0 -

Brassic,
You seem to be doing very well with your eBay challenge. How long have you been doing that for?0 -
Good luck, I'll be following this from the other perspective. Whilst I don't have debts I'm quite bad at actually organising savings, so if you can pay £60k of debt off in a few years, I should be able to make some inroad into making a healty pot of savings. I hope you don't mind. But the motivation for saving pennies seems to disapate slightly when all the debts are paid off. Thanks heaps0

Hi there,
It was just one days worth - I made use of the 5p listing day and put 84 items up :O I sold about 50 of them, including an old racer for 250 quid, and one of my horse saddles for nearly 400 (sold the horse ages agoso just been hanging onto them for sentimental reasons). Stuff I'd been meaning to sell for ages but this board spurred (pardon the pun) me on to actually do it. I'm selling everything that doesn't move (although it's been tempting to auction off the kids too some days) as needs must when the devil farts.
