1p finds at Tesco thread

I started to knock up a little document a week or so ago so I could print it out and take to tesco to aid my hunting.
I added pictures (where they'd been posted) as I thought it'd be better to know what I was looking for. There's also a number of text descriptions - I put into a table form just so I only had to print one sheet.
I thought it might be useful for others so I've uploaded into a google doc : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fdmD5bXn_nIjOa2xgZ4Swyg9lja7409sfOsexa-xcjc/edit?hl=en_GB&authkey=CPLt0YoE
At the moment only I can edit it but quite happy to open it up (in the style of the famous tesco DTD spreadsheet).

Thanks for the comments. Thanks to all those who have posted the deals originally - I've been lucky enough to find a few... but not managed to find a new one myself.
I've done an updated version of the doc formatted a little differently & including date first posted (ish).

Open to suggestions as to layout, what to include etc. I figure people can print at 2 or 4 pages per sheet etc to reduce the size of pics. Perhaps store the doc on your phone. Would be nice to get all barcode info perhaps. Link to OP? There are still some pictures to add - I could probably find them but won't know if they are the "right" ones.0 -

When I bought my tomato with chilli today there was no SEL at all
It seems to vary between stores. Some have the full price sels, some show sels of 1p or other such silly money, some have no sel and then there are the newly mentioned RTC labelled sels. The store near my friend seems to take the no sel approach but my local ones have the normal price sels up, when I bought my caperberries for 1p a jar today the sel said £2.20 odd making me one very happy camper!0 -
I was going to write the same myself. The last couple of 1p items i was lucky to find in my Tesco were all just sitting unmarked in the reduced area, with the exception of the Dorman nuts which were unpriced on strips.
Now i know about the RTC coding it gives me one more thing to look for on the SELs, along with yellow price cut items. My shopping already takes me ages while i trawl for bargains!:rotfl:0 -

Wow thank you so much, I have only just found this thread and was already feeling confused about what to look for - the photos are an especially brilliant idea. Thank you for your time. I shall start looking for bargains. :T0 -
Its not just discontinued products that scan for 1p, sometimes its new products coming in that have been out on the shelf before they should have and before they have been set up on the system. The Cupponks games for instance scanned at a penny then went up to full price and there was a printer that was scanning very cheap and then went up. It could be that at some time in the past the items were stocked and discontinued and then when they were restocked they put out before the prices were put back on the system.
My advice is if something is reduced scan it just in case, if its new with no price scan it just in case, lol.0
