i have been very lucky in findning quite a few of these 1p deals. i noticed there were far more being posted after christmas so i thought i'd have a look. anyway just a few thoughts about my finds so far:

the dormen nuts: these are my personal favourite. they are really good quality and the dried fruits are amazing (espeically the cherries!). i have made delicious flapjacks with these. be warned though, they are best before 7th May 2011 (on my packs), so some of the nuts are getting slightly moist and they're not as crunchy. they may also contain traces of nuts :rotfl: (sorry, had to put that in).

the stagg chilli: i don't think there's much proper meat in this. however, the flavour of the sauce and the beans make them quite nice. i personally fry some minced beef and add a tin to a saucepan. very nice then!

cod roes: got a couple of these, but i'm still looking for ideas of what to make...any ideas?

the potato and bacon thing: got a few of these too. not the nicest of things. when you open the tin, it really does smell and look like dog food. there's not that much bacon in it either (they're mainly pieces of fat). however, i'm sure my mum can do something nice with them when i see her next! mine go out of date on 09/11.

rum sauce: it's powdered stuff and you just add boiling water. plenty of date left 'til after christmas. can be tricky to scan these at the SS tills as they are so light...you may get the dreaded 'unexpected item in bagging area' :eek: going to give some of these to neighbours and friends closer to christmas.

do they actually put 1p price tickets on there or du have to scan it using self scan or at till to find out?
I've never had any 1p bargains before! ha!

the majority don't have 1p tags.

a minority may have though.
