1p finds at Tesco thread

Having read the whole thread yesterday - I think you look out for a label that states RTC at the bottom (reduced to clear) these usually go half price, and half again, until they eventually go for 1p. The staff don't bother to keep changing the labels though, so just keep an eye out and use the self price check machine if your store has one. The SEL (shelf edge label) can be either white or yellow.

To test the theory, if anyone finds some of the 1p items.. PLEASE CHECK THE LABEL TO SEE IF IT IS WHITE OR YELLOW AND IF IT HAS RTC ON THE BOTTOM of the shelf edge label and report back please. I have exhausted my local store of it's supplies so would like to get our heads together to come up with a theory of how to find the 1p items!! WE CAN DO IT!


... By the way, how can we 'like' this thread? There is no option to mark it as liked so as to give it a higher status on the thread.

In my local, there is not usually a sel for the 1p items at all. Seems to be if you notice an item is reduced at an earlier date and just keep checking to see if they are reduced further.

I noticed with the items I bought before, that they just had the ordinary price on. For instance the stagg chilli was amongst the other varieties with the same price!!?? Weird.

I didn't know about RTC then so didn't check.

I started to knock up a little document a week or so ago so I could print it out and take to tesco to aid my hunting.

I added pictures (where they'd been posted) as I thought it'd be better to know what I was looking for. There's also a number of text descriptions - I put into a table form just so I only had to print one sheet.

Would these items include online shopping at 1 p .If so then i could order and then if the price is not one 1p give back to the driver like i am allowed .
