Mmm, I've just stumbled upon this one, not been looking at many threads on the grabbit board for a while:rotfl:.

I found 1p candy canes in Silverburn in the seasonal aisle hanging on a strip next to the easter eggs.
There were Tinkerbell, Cars and Mickey Mouse ones :j

Are you sure it was the size on this thread 730g, in my local they have a smaller size 430g that says new and scans at full price - looks like branston reduced the size but not the price.

I was very excited to find the 1p Stagg chilli today but at the till, it was flagged up as not for sale so I wasn't allowed to buy them! Gutted!! Does anyone know if these items can then successfully be taken to a ss till or does it flag up there as well? TIA

Which tomatoes did you buy? I remember that someone posted that some of the various types that were scanning at 1p had gone back to full price.

it was the cartons of chopped tomatoes with chilli. I checked again, today and they had some more so bought another case. There is no space on the shelf as such but every time i go in there always seems to be a whole carton (of 18) on the top shelf.

I use a lot of tomatoes, prefer making sauces to buying them, and got some more today.
