  • Evening all

I went shopping after work cos my current jeans are wearing away between the thighs (why does this always happen?!) and thought I'd try on the next size down, and they fitted :j:j whoop :D, okay it's still a size 20 but it's better than a 22!

It was my work kids last day with me, so we went to Laserzone (again!) and had 2 games today so I ran round for 45 mins straight! So skipped the gym tonight, but did wander round the shopping centre for an hour too. I did have a half portion of McD's chips though as we did not have time for me to go elsewhere.

    Green day:

B - shreddies (HEB) skimmed milk (HEA)
    L - half McD's chips (6syns), pear, banana
D - pasta with HM SF tomatoey sauce with lots of veg in it, cheese (HEA)
Snacks - banana, leftover cheese pie (synned yesterday - I know I shouldn't do this but once won't hurt), fibre plus bar (HEB)
Drinks - sprite zero, NAS squash, coffee, water
Exercise - 45 mins in laserzone and one hour slow walk.

    Total syns = 6

Hello all, busy day Dizzy! I echo Consultant's hope that it doesn't take a year for you .

Friends eh? A (tall, skinny, male, vegetarian) friend was coming for lunch today so I planned pasta with asda meatfree meatballs in tomato sauce, extra mushrooms and red peppers and some brocolli cooked in with the pasta. All nice and SW-friendly plus vegetarian. He texted to say he would bring "treats" so I quickly responded "not chocolate" (as that's where the Downfall Flakes came from last week :p). Bless him, he turned up with a camembert cheese, a big boursin herby garlicky creamy cheese, a big pack of cheese biscuits and (thank goodness) a load of grapes. I always use my HEA as milk, and had synned the parmesan. Oh well, onward and upward (probably!) :rotfl:

Im On a mission to prove em wrong ;) It might not be the most elegant unaided walking .......but Ive got a bit of a £1 bet with the neuro team on this one :rotfl:

Bless ur friend for bringing treats that werent choccy ........shame theyre harder to stop eating than half a flake tho  boursin cheese yummmy :p

would some-one mind awfully giving me a kick up the bum please? Have had all my syns for the week and have to get to monday:o

I am so close to my stone award, I don't want to regress??!!?? I want my sticker more than a toddler at the dentist !!

Hi Darnit, that's been me for the past three weeks too :wall: I don't think you'll manage over the whole weekend with no syns if you've already used the weeks, so maybe just try to keep it to a minimum? You might just get frustrated and give up on the whole week, or worse the whole thing, if you try to be too strict with yourself. Stick with it and get that stone! :T

Evening everyone  Had an ok day today, I'm in a bit of a funk about fruit at the minute, I really don't want it. I think I've overdone the mullerlites too, just don't want them :rotfl:So I'm trying to up the veg and forego fruit for a bit

B 2xalpen light (early work start), banana
    L ham, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber
D cottage pie with ex lean mince, tomatoes, sweetcorn, potato, hea cheese and served with lettuce and MORE tomatoes. I was tempted to go back for second portion of this, my ultimate comfort food and I'm in a mood but I resisted. Have enough left for tomorrow's lunch and probably dinner too as my fiance is away for a couple of days :(

syns party rings x 3 = 4.5, quavers 4.5 = 9 wll have a babybel later for the rest of my hea

Hope everyone has a struggle free weekend!

  • right, it's now time for my semi-frozen muller light (rhubarb tonight). I make quite a ceremony of it, use my "special" spoon, tap on the frozen "skin" on top to break through, eat out the cold but unfrozen bit in the middle, then the rest of the inside, and only THEN the smoothly frozen circle around the top of the pot! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Hope the fairies stay away for everyone tomorrow!

PS I made my friend take the rest of the cheese & biscuits away as I know I can't be trusted.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

That carrot soup looks good - could have a soup week as a speed week really.

Moral dilemma - just been to a discount shop and bought some new trainers with some other stuff. I paid and thought she said 50.97.... when I got out to the car, I loaded the stuff into the boot, and realised the receipt said 15.97 - she had not scanned the £40 trainers properly...... She did take the security thingy off, so we both thought she had. I drove home and told my hubby and he feels torn like I do - would it be really nerdy to go back and tell them they didn't charge me for them, or take them as a bonus as I spend a fortune there anyway?

    Hey ho.

    Lesley x

how rich are you? comfortable enough to give them the money you owe? i know that we aren't thats why carrot soup is a godsend ;) saying that i went to Wilko's recently and was given £5 too much change, whilst pondering my dilemma there was a Cat Protection volunteer collecting right outside, guess where my extra 5er went?

personally i'd keep the trainers and the gift of £40

Well weekend here we are - been out with freinds early evening for a meal, surprised myself and did really well - was expecting to use about 65 syns, had an EE day as I knew that I would need it,

    B - Boiled Eggs, 2 x wholemaeal toast (HEB)
L - Ham Salad - cucumber, lettuce, toms and peppers sandwich on wholemeal bread with banana and some strawberries (6)
    Afternoon - 1 choc chip cookie (31/2)
Whilst out - Grilled fishcakes with sweet potato, chilli and peppers in crispy crumb and salad and a mayo dressing type thing in a small ramekine ate about half, I'm guessing about 25 syns
3 x Bacardis and diet coke (12), 2 glasses of water inbetween alcohol drinks
Resisted wine, resisted bread and olives, resisted cocktails :j

Got a nice Bacardi and diet coke now - (6)

So total for day -52 1/2 - when I was expecting to use 60 just for going out.

Picked my daughter up from a youth club thing she was starving so got her a bag of chips whilst waiting for taxi - resisted picking her chips as well, and she said that they were Ok but she prefers the salads etc we have been having last couple of weeks, chips made her feel sluggish. She's about a size 10 with a size 12 top, so no need to lose anything.

On top of all that, bit like the previous poster when the bill came they never charged for 2 of the bacardis just the diet coke, didn't offer to correct it, we spend a fortune there anyway and the coke was £2.70 a glass:eek:

So all in all a very good day, but a * weekend due tomorrow!

    Best wishes to you all.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.
  • I've slipped off the wagon this last couple of days... went out for a friends birthday dinner last night, had salmon fishcake and shrimp mayo, duck with veggies and potato and red wine jus, followed by chocolate cake, mojitos and champers..... today I was ok until my friend offered me fajitas for dinner so i had one tortilla, with cheese, chicken with the dressing from the pack on it, coleslaw and salad.... then I went for a drink at my friends housewaming and only 4 turned up but he had done nibbles so (being a nice polite guest) i ate some. hopefully if i do ok til weigh in on weds i should still lose a pound or so... dont want to slip off too far less than a month in!
