  • OK -this time I crossed posts with you Dizzy :rotfl: -hope no-one else posts whilst Im typing -I will be here all day...

Dizzy -its no wonder you are nervous about this evening, it does sound like a lot to deal with all at once BUT grab the 1st table you can -near the exit so you can get out if you feel the need. and since you always look on the bright side of things..... just think -at least you won't be running back n forth to the buffet table :rotfl:

Im sure you will have a good time -is hubby going to be at home? just thinking that even if you only go for 1hr to show your face and to break yourself in gently -then hubby can be "on call" to get you back...

  • Hey hey!!

OH finally came back thursday afternoon (after being "missing" since monday). He's in an ideal position now to go bankrupt - he's accepted that his car will be repossessed (cars on finance) and he knows he has nothing else to lose.

SO pleased that he came back, its really not a biggy to do the bankruptcy thing, the only folk that need to know are the ones that you tell!

    big hugs and stuff xxx
  • Hey everyone, room for one more?

After much thought and lots of failure this year i've decided i'm gonna give sw a bash. It's worked for me before in the past so i figure it'll work again. I've already got the books but need to get my head around EE days again. My first weeks gonna be a right challenge tho, we're off to centre parcs on monday so i need to plan some food to take with me. For lunches i'm thinking cous cous - but can anyone tell me if the packets from tesco (medierreanean style one) are free of do they have a syn value also stuff like jacket spuds, tinned spag on toast etc stuff i know i cant get wrong. Anymore quick and easy ideas more than welcome:). Thankfully i love walking so i'll be taking my pedometer with me and i'll be hoping to do 10000 steps a day.

I weighed in this morn and i'm 11st 3 which is better than i expected tbh but want to get back to my pre preg weight of 10st.

    Hello all

Im feeling much much better so back on plan today :D

    welcome newbies

Nickynoo- plenty of fruit and veg to take with you? If you have a cool box freeze some big bottles of water in and it will keep your salady bits and fruit cool for a bit! Ive never been to centreparcs so no idea what is available there! Not sure about the tesco CC ainsleys are 0.5-2 each others can specify I think the one I get ( tomato) is 0.5 per pack. ( I hope it is anyway as thats what Ive been counting it as!)

Vixie- hang on in there, pleased things are getting better for you x

just another quick one- I found Ainsley mexican rice in asda the other day- I know most savoury rices are syn free - is this?

    Green day for me today:

Break half punnet blueberries with yog, and 2 crisprolls (HEB1) cottage cheese and CC salady bits
Lunch hopefully the AH rice with half pack of quorn poppin bites, and some chopped veg and salad
Tea: veggie pizza, ( onions, mush, pepper, sweetcorn, tomato HEA cheese, HEB wholemeal base) and a few pot wedges and corn cob maybe
Have frozen berries out for with more yog later ;)

Will I survive this green day? Everytime Ive tried it Ive failed ( starving) but im hoping the lack of bread roll here will help me out today!

Lets kill those bar-steward fairies this weekend once and for all

    have a great day everyone!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I Know My OH loves me to bits....hes been to every appoint with me and knows the ins and outs of the medical stuff.......but I sometimes think he forgets that Im only 'Kath' Im not wonder woman and It all gets just a little bit scary out in the bit bad world sometimes......it just feels a bit safer here at home

Oh dizzy. I used to have this thing where I fainted all the time ( awful) and felt really wobbly. I got like that, just didnt want to go out was scared of it.

I hope you can find a way to go tonight, even if you just show your face for a bit could your OH pick you up after an hour or so? Its better to go than not go, although I totally know what you mean and how scary it is to go out

I have been trying to decide what it reminds me of and I think it might be the old fashione heinz veg soup -although its probably because mine had some peas in too ....tis very nice -well I like it and Im a fuss pot :o
I don't think it would be as nice if it was blitzed smooth as then it would all just have 1 taste, left chunky -you get lots of different flavours...

Mine tastes a bit like minestrone, i did put a big splosh of worcester sauce in though;) I blitzed mine smooth and it is yummy. I have also used it as a quick pasta sauce when pushed for time.

I was really good yesterday, until about 10pm when i was starving at work, I took loads of food with me but had eaten it all! So shared an appetiser of chicken wings with a colleague.
Fridays are difficult for me, i have to leave the flat at about 12.10pm to pick up DD from school and drop her off at inlaws, then go straight to uni, finish uni at 5.15pm then go to work for 6pm on the other side of town. Finishing at about midnight/1am. Thought i had enough food with me but was obviously wrong:o Will need to do a mega packed lunch next week!

Hope you are ok tonight Dizzy, sounds a bit scary, guess it is the unknown. Good luck.:A

Can't abide mushy peas either! Will do them for OH but can barely look at them :rotfl:
First WI Sunday morning but it's not looking good - my red day willpower still isn't anywhere in sight (hene the binge after 4 days on red) but green days make my weightloss painfully slow!

Can I make a suggestion:o How about doing just 1-2 reds per week....maybe Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sun as Green and Wed, Sat as red? Maybe just throwing two into the mix will keep your body guessing and hopefully give you a little boost.
    Evening all

I went shopping after work cos my current jeans are wearing away between the thighs (why does this always happen?!) and thought I'd try on the next size down, and they fitted :j:j whoop :D, okay it's still a size 20 but it's better than a 22!
    Fantastic, well done:T

The asda double strength NAS Tropical fruit squash is really nice.... only £1.
I second the Asda own brand NAS squash...I have been getting it for aaaages as it has no aspartame in it (unlike nearly every other sugar free squash) They do some lovely flavours, the fruit salad and the cherries and berries are really, really nice:D

Im off to have some lunch and a think, and look in the wardrobe before OH gets back & decide later :rotfl:

I haven't been on here long so don't know the extent of your health problems, but maybe see it as a challenge you need to overcome? Try and prove to yourself that you can do it, and you are going to be ok? Even if you don't leave the house for another 6 months, you will have done it this one time.

Different situation but a few dfw members met up to help someone out, and a few of them saw it as a personal challenge... they were pretty scared but if they couldn't do it to help a friend then they would have felt like they had let themselves down as well as the friend who we were helping.

I'll stop now before I ramble on or put my foot in it even more, but Dizzy, you CAN do it and you will be absolutely fine :o

  • I normally weigh-in on a Monday morning, but I am going to do it tomorrow instead, although I will pretend I have done as normal and record it as being a monday weigh-in! I just hope I have lost the weight I gained last week.

I have started to do sit-ups.....well, I say sit-ups, I sort of get my head and shoulders off the floor;) I am not going to rush it though, the baby is only 12wks old and after 4 biggish babies my stomach muscles are completely trashed!

I have just had my lunch, of SW chips and onion gravy....Yummy:) I didn't have any breakfast because after staying up late, then being up in the night a few times, followed by a 5.45am wake up call....I was shattered and went back to bed from 8-10am:D I have managed to drink 3 glasses of juice/water already though, so am well on track there.

We are having beef tonight, can I have it as a HEb? And if so how much:)
