L xNO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........0 -
Hi ladies. I've been so excited yesterday and and today about the wedding plans but MIL to be has just ruined it . We had talked about getting married but were quite happy to wait a couple of years and have babies first. OH's parents weren't keen so basically, although we intended to get married eventually, we are doing it next year, before babies, to keep them happy! Anyway, I text her about something else and she asked if I'd thought about venues yet. I text back that we're going to look at a couple this week and that another was already booked for the day we're thinking of. I didn't hear anymore but OH has just rung me from work and she's got all stroppy with him as we didn't tell her the date!!!! I thought he had told her or I wouldn't have said anything. We only decided on Wed that we were going to do it next year and she's thrown a strop already!!! If this is a sign of things to come I will throw a bigger strop and refuse to get married at all!!!!! I can't be doing with difficult people! My mum is happy for us to just get on with it, as long as she's kept up to date and included on some things she is just happy with whatever we want. Oh and we've already changed the date we were looking at once as it didn't suit OH's mum....hence why I thought she knew about the possible new date as I though he was ringing her back after we discussed it! I wouldn't mind if we'd actually set a date and not told her but it's only the first possibility that we're looking at. Trouble is, with OH's shift pattern there is only 1 saturday out of evey 6 that is possible so we're VERY limited!
Sorry about the essay ladies, needed to get that off my chest!!! I've been to work and then done my grocery shopping this morning so plenty of yummy, SW friendly food in again now! I'm having an EE day today as I couldn't quite fit what I wanted for lunch and tea around red or green. Here's the plan:
Brekkie - fibre plus bar (HEB, I didn't have anything else SW friendly in that was ok to take to work! no superfree as didn't have any!)
Snack - meleon, yogurt, lemon curd (1.5)
Lunch - lettuce, cucumber, tomes, beetroot, ff dressing, mackeral in tom sauce, jacket potato
snack - not sure yet but will need something as tea won't be till 9pm
Tea - beef casserole (3 for gravy), mash, veggies, dumpling (need to calculate syns)
Dizzy, I can totally understand where you're coming from, it must be really hard for you. I don't have any of your problems but I find it hard enough to deal with a room full of people, flashing lights and loud music so it must be tonnes harder for you!!!
Hope the fairies are leaving you all alone this weekend.0 -

I know its hard love, but don't let her get you down! If the date you set isn't convenient for her then screw her! Yes that sounds really harsh (i'm sorry!) but at the end of the day if she loves her son that much ANY day would be convenient for her! She needs to realise that the wedding is about you and your OH - not her! I have seen so many friends go through this exact same thing and it makes the whole thing so stressful! I feel frustrated for you hun! Stand your ground and don't let this hiccup stress you out too much
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

Thanks hun! Thing is, me and my family are so laid back and just go with the flow so I'm not used to dealing with people who are different to that! And I know I'm not the most tolerant person when other people think differently or deal with things differently to me! I knew she would drive me insane over it lol! OH must have rung her to explain as she's just text to apologise.0 -

Thanks for that but I had the super noodles in 85g pot, my mum has a 2006 fd and it says 7 syns, I have 08/09 fd and it still says 7 syns so going with that. Knowing my luck its probably more but hey ho.
Dizzy - really feel for you, I'd hate to be sick/pass out in front of people so know how you feel. I'd be tempted to not go & say I was ill. Hubby will forgive you I'm sure. After all he does love you and knows how ill you can be/feel. [[[[[[[[[[hugs for you anyway]]]]]]]]].
Welcome & good luck to all newbies, well done losers & commiserations everyone else xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Do slimming world do a sticker to put on your book for this
My OH has this theory that if I dye my hair from blonde to brown then Ive got a better chance of my brain recovering quicker :rotfl: cheeky git.......actually hes probably got a good point where Im concerned
No SW don't but I will:-
As you say OH is a cheeky git, but funny with it :rotfl:
Just read your later posts about the 'do' tonight. It's late now and I guess you've either gone or not, but whatever, you need to do what makes you happy or your OH won't be happy either
I don't have your other problems but I am going deaf in one ear and I think I know what you mean about there being too much noise. You'd think being deaf would be great in a disco (for a wrinkly anyway, lol) but I find it worse as the noises get right inside my head and make me feel sick.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
