Aless, what kind of car seat is it? My friend and I flew to Jersey and she just put her car seat (an baby carrier type one) next to the pushchair at the gate, when we got off the plane they had offloaded them and left them at the bottom of the steps to the plane...
Jealous of your nice day Michelle... It's throwing it down here... A lovely welcome back to the school run... I had to wear a coat because of the rain and now my head is all sweaty from the effort of walking back up the hill and trying to hold an umbrella and push a pushchair...
And someone in this room stinks... And it's not me...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Amber is utterly gorgeous. If my baby daughter-to-be is less cute I shall blame Beenie for ruining my life.got-it-spend-it wrote: »My little boy can walk along pushing his ride on car, and he make brum, brum noises while he does it
:D:eek::eek:. Proud, scared mummy moment!
love those little mini-milestones
my little boy has an extra year+ on yours GISI, but I am equally proud and scared when he opens the car door, climbs into the driver's seat and starts pressing switches... :eek:0 -

[strike]Well it seems like the flight to Glasgow we can check both the pushchair & car seat airside, but on the flight to Barra it's an itty bitty ITTY BITTY airplane so the baggage restrictions say that we only get 1 thingee to check?? I need to go and check again as now I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly. But to be honest we're only going to need a 1 small bag for all of us so we'll be well under any other restrictions
.[/strike]
eta: never mind, I remember what it was. I just didn't want to have to carry a car seat around the airport with us so thought it would simpler to check it along with our luggage?
Tia, I've been really awful with comping this year...haven't done any since early July I think! I just got a really really lucky run - won more in May/June than I did in all of 2008!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Wait... Bruno.... is that a hint that you are expecting a girl? Or do we know this already and I missed it? Or are you just teasing?
How is Mrs.Bruno today? Antibiotics helping yet?0 -
Sorry to come out of lurking just to rant but here goes..
START RANT - I've been waiting ages for my manager to get back to me about if I can change my shift at work for my return which I arranged a few weeks ago would be the 27th Sept following a weeks holiday. Now the childminder we've arranged texts me yesterday asking if I know if I want her to have Evie til 3 or 5 cos she looks after an 18 month old as well and her mum was enquiring about keeping her on after school and childminder can have her and Evie in day but only have one under 2 yrs old after school cos she has more older ones. I know I've been keeping her hanging on too long anyway waiting to find out what hrs we want. So I told her I'd try to find out and let her know today.
My manager at work is a lovely woman and I get on with her really well. But she's emailed me today (not phoned like I asked her to do so I could discuss things) with a really blunt, cold email which isn't like her saying that my request to work 8-2 (which is a set shift my work have - i'm not asking for a completely separate shift) has been declined but she's got a meeting later to see if she can get it overruled. Problem with this is that my pre-maternity shift was 12-8 so I would gave to put in another request to work 8-4 which would be the other possible option for me (OH works 1-9 so I can't work later than childminder can have her) so that request would take ages again.
That means that if its not overruled I would have to go back on 12-8 which I can't do so I'd have to resign which I really don't want to do. Then I'd also have to pay back my company maternity pay (about £2000 :eek:) cos I'd not returned for at least 3 months which I fully intended to do!
Also, back in July, I was going to go back officially on 13th Sept and have 2 weeks holiday so I asked about availability and was told there was only availability for the 13th and no other days. But my managed emailed me the day after stating that I had 'already booked a week 20th sept' and did i want to keep that so I said yes and changed my 'official' start to the 20th. Obviously we've then booked childminder from 27th. Now my manager says I have only got 20th-22nd booked off and there is no availability for 23rd/24th so I cannot have it. But I still have the email from her on 15th July which says 'you already have a week booked 20th sept' but I dunno if I could use that to argue anything!!!!
AAAAARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad:
Anyway, I got that emailed and just cried even though it doesn't say anything definite. Me and OH are getting married THIS SATURDAY and the possibility of having to give up my job is a stress I could really do without right now. OH thinks I should go off sick with stress so that I technically return for 3 months before leaving so I don't have to pay back my company maternity, and to be honest this situation with working is really making me stressed, but that means going back to work for at least a day first, and I'm not the kind of person who has time of sick unless I actually can't get out of bed and being off with 'stress' makes me feel like a fraud (because I've never suffered from it I'm unfortunately of the opinion that stress is mind over matter in a lot of casesbut by no means all and please no-one take any offence over that)
