Alice is evidently better - at breakfast she polished off her porridge and announced, "Finished, more." :j

A really good night had here. T woke at 5.45 ish, went back down with no problems at 6ish then woke me at 8.20. He'd found the teddies at the end of the cot and shrieking excitedly
He played happily albeit loudly for 20 minutes while I came round lol Looks at though he's getting better as it's the first morning in ages that he's not been blocked up. I'm feeling much better as well.
Not sure what we're doing this morning but we're picking my parents up from the airport this afternoon. I'm really looking forward to seeing them

Susan, thanks for showing the link! Very true about BFing being a bit painful too. I'd say for most women, your nipples need to toughen up, which can be painful when you have a baby almost permanently attached.
Glad Alice and T are feeling better this morning as well.

Yay for babies on the mend!
I hate how the BFing support is all a massive lottery. We weren't really in hospital long enough to be able to tell, really, but they did seem to ask me every few hours whether we were having any problems (and did seem keen on observing us at least once during a feed to make sure it looked okay) - so I can only assume they would've been helpful if we had had problems. The more I read and talk to people, the more I am extremely thankful that we are in the tiny minority that had no issues with feeding. Speaking of, weirdly enough I just shared a fab link on FB having to do with all this!
Our boiler is broken again!! The engineer yesterday did mention he needed to come back later on to really properly sort it, but I'm pretty sure he expected it to last longer than 12 hours. Grrr, I need a shower.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Hi SS, ferg still woke cold, so we're going to try, vest, sleepsuit, pjs and bag tonight
You stay warmer longer but then after early nov go colder than us right?
Yes, the first chills are starting now, but we're still a fair bit warmer than you. From late November through to mid/late March though we'll only get above freezing for an hour around midday - if we do at all, and we'll probably end up with banks of snow. We're due a nasty winter too, say the meteorologists, and the last one was fairly mild (never more than 12cm of snow in a day).Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I've just checked the weather forecast for tomorrow and it's still showing heavy rain so unfortunately Thomas and I are going to give Monkey Forest a miss, we're both just getting over colds so even if it ends up as just light rain I'd prefer not to be pushing him around in it. If it's rearranged to the play area at Trafford then we would definitely be for it.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0

morning! i have rushed around all morning to get the kids ready and fed before the left for school/nursery. Have wondered why the bus was so late until i noticed a message on the phone saying all the staff are ill and they cant take Charlie.
BF i really struggled with Charlie as he was so hungry and remember sitting on my bed in tears giving him a bottle, he slept for a good few hours that night and i immediatly changed him over. I felt much better for doing it and he also seemed to be much happier. 4/5 of my children were given top ups of formula as i needed it for sleep and my sanity, Lewis never took to a bottle and was very stubborn about his BF but i would do the same all over again.
Has everyone started for Christmas? I have a few bits but im really struggling for ideas this year? What's for you won't go past you0 -
Morning all,
Ladybird - how did you go with your potty training? (well Izzy's potty training - I assume you are fine!)
Benjamin sat on the potty twice at the CM's yesterday and said 'wee wee' but then did it in his nappy before she had chance to take it off! But he seems to be getting the idea.
Am going to buy the same potty as the CM today and see how he goes. I am not bothered about training him yet but if he is asking for it it seems silly not to respond!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

I have finished everything but the food and the tree. Do you need ideas? For whom?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
