My god you lot have been gassing today, I haven't a hope in hell of catching up. Did I miss anything important?
Work was slow as a slow thing today. The guy I'm training was out this afternoon too, so we couldn't get on with training stuff. But everything I touched unravelled into a big problem in my hands. It was like pulling at a stray thread on a jumper - I kept finding one question and discovering the answer was a great big mess. At least it passed some of the time!
We've had a great big temper at bedtime, but once she settled down (and drank some milk - I ended up tandem feeding Izzy and Benji BearIt doesn't get more glamarous than that!) I got a cheerful wave when I left her to it, so it was all worth it. We are going to have a few more of them in the next few months I think.

Hello Weezl!
I put S to bed tonight in a vest, babygrow (with socks over the feet to keep them on) and a sleeping bag, and I set his mini Argos value radiator on a low setting as well. But we have no double glazing and its ruddy freezing here!
I however am sat in a sleeveless top shivering but am too lazy to go upstairs and get myself a jumper :rotfl:
Tara, I've only ever heard of buggy snuggles but I've only heard good things IYSWIM?
Hugs to all the poorly mummies, stressed mummies and mummies with poorly babies. And Bruno. And everyone else.
Lovely pics/videos today as well BTW!Mummy to

Welcome back Claire! Great news about your first aid training.
Weezl- Henry has gone to bed in a vest, long sleeve pyjamas and his toddler quilt tonight. It's 18 degrees in his room at the moment so not too cold.
Ladybird- I thought H was trying to B Upsy Daisy yesterday but he might have just been giving her a cuddle. Very sweet though!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Evening all..
Hugs for all the poorly and tired mummies and babies.. and everyone else tooxx
I always made Rhys' bottles up as per gov advice until he got to a year  Was easy enough once he was in a nice feeding pattern. Now I make them as hot water in bottle, milk on top, lid on, shake, sit in cold water until stone cold, then into the fridge for up to 23hrs
Got the eye consultant appointment through today to discuss a possible (probably!) operation.. Next Tuesday!! A bit quick..Letter says he will be unable to drive for 4-6 hours afterwards - shame!
Work is busy busy.. seem to be making a point there is enough work for me to work full time if I want to. I don't want to, damn it!
Get well and sleepy vibes as required xxx0 -
Am I a really mean mummy, I was just going to get Sophie some blocks and bath toys for Christmas.
Not at all, Lily isn't getting much from us. Well im not sure now, family keep stealing my xmas present ideas.
My nan asked what i was buying Lily and i said a baby walker, and she said "I'll buy that for her"
I said not to as we want to get it, and she started saying "Pleeease let me buy it, make me happy and let me buy it"
I was thinking "No! Its my present! Everyone else stole all my other ideas"
So she's getting her a little musical keyboard thing.
Is that petty? Its just that im fed up of trying to think of new things to buy for Lily, she's my baby.
I already know she's going to get loads of cheap crap from my mum as when i asked her to buy Lilys play gym for £7 she said it was to expensive, and she's not made of money. Oh yeah, its because she spends it on her 40 fags a day.
Sorry, that turned into a rant :rotfl:
Smartie, i cant find your post to quote. I sterilise 6 bottles and pour in boiling water, then i cool quickly and store the water in the fridge as water stays sterile (or so i've read)
Then when needed, i heat the water in the microwave, put in the milk and shake0 -
Izzy went to bed in pajama trousers and a t-shirt after I discovered that all her all in ones are too small - she has been growing since we last tried them a week or so ago. And she is under 3 blankets because she kept asking for "that one" as well. I expect when I go in to check on her they will all be on the floor though.

Hello - I thought I'd stop lurking and graduate over from the pg thread. Baby Evie was born 4 days ago :j (she also has a big brother of 7 and a big sister who's 5). The elder two are loving having a new baby sister.
Smartie- I've been making the bottles up when needed so far.
E is having mainly formula feeds with the occasional bf (I feel very bad that I haven't been able to do more breasfeeds but I am exhausted and sore). I have been wanting to express bm and feed her that instead of formula but after buying a very non mse pump at the weekend I am really struggling to find a spare hour to sit and express. When I did have time earlier I couldn't get a drop:(.0 -
Weezl, at the moment, Sophie's in a sleepsuit, little cardy and a sleeping bag. She's quite a warm little thing, but she started waking as her arms were chilly, so that's why she has a cardy.
Fattyybooboo, poor little guy, hope he's feeling a bit better now.
Gill, yikes, that must've been scary for you!
CAFC, I said I wouldn't get madam anything for Christmas, and got shouted down as a meanie - like she's going to know! So she's just getting a couple of little bits.
