  • Jasmine has the green smart trike, tbh we've only used it twice outdoors, mainly cos the weather wasnt great over summer, now its cluttering up my dining room and jasmine uses the little cupholder a lot she always leaves her drink in it lol, but it was free from bizziebaby so im not fussed about it not being used as much! i might stick it on ebay soon actually,

Hope you feel better soon EA, X x,
  • EA -((HUGS)) hun, can you make it your goal this afternoon to teach her about 'edges' and how she needs to turn around to get down safely? Life becomes easier once they are 'edge aware' :D

And it would be ace to show F when he gets home!

No, she doesn't really like the jumperoo much now she can move about.

She's being quiet now though, i got stressed and told her to shut up and she did :rotfl:

She is shouting at the TV now :rotfl:

MFD, we try to show her that falling is bad lol. DH kept putting her on the edge and pretending to push her but she loved it. She is odd :rotfl:

EA, can you pop her in the buggy and go for a walk round the block or something? Fresh air always helped me loads, and you'll get a break from the whinging :)

    Hello Caz!

I was looking for you the other day, do you remember when the fairies flew over here because they must have got lost :(

EA, learning about edges took an afternoon here and we're much safer as a result. We taught Molly to tip herself feet first so she lands on those.

Nomnomnom roast dinner here. Husband still needs to learn about proper roasts (he's American; he put tomatoes and mushrooms in with the veg and burned the Yorkshire puddings) but it was tasty and I've been waiting for one for about two years so am very happy :D

If it makes you feel any better, you just described my crappy life every single day! Except i don't have 7:15pm to look forward to.

And i've started letting Amber fall anyway but holding her feet, and making a fuss *sharp intake of breath & Amber!!!* so she realises it's not a good idea to launch head first off the couch. :rotfl:

I have had a climber though and once found her atop a 6ft high shelf unit.. she was 14 months old, teeny tiny (weighed 16lb) and was wearing nothing but her nappy.. which was more than she usually wore! It took me half an hour to find her.. I have a pic somewhere.. she was a nightmare.

Becles I just commented yesterday morning that i'd had to get V down from the table a billion times - I have a climber! The climbing isn't so much the problem for me, it's that she'll think climbing is ok if I leave the room and i'm not there to catch her!

James was a climber and a dare devil. He was climbing up and out the cot when he was just 10 months old, so I had to put him in a bed. At the park and soft pay, he wouldn't go on the toddler things and was away off up the bigger childrens things.

Had so many bumps and scrapes with him. The worst was when he was 2 and Josh was 4. I was on my own then, and I'd taken James out the bath and put his jarmies on and sent him into his room to tidy his toys away. Was busy drying Josh when there was an almighty clatter and screaming. Went through and he'd decided to play parachutes by climbing up on his windowsill and jumped off, but he'd landed on the toys, fallen backwards and smacked his head off the radiator. Ended up on a trip to A&E to have his head glued back together.

He was first when we went on that tree top assault course in the summer holidays, and he was away and kept yelling back "hurry up slow coaches" as Josh and me found it more difficult and we kept getting a bit nervous as it was a long way up!

He wants to join the army when he's older. I'm not so keen but I think he'd be good at it as his body is really strong and flexible.

And btw Becles in case no one told you, it's Sunday today so i think you should chillax :D:p

    Chillax? What's that? ;)
I'm looking at trike for Elliot for Christmas, there is so much to choose from, I am currently looking at the smart trike deluxe in green, hmmm decisions

Smyths toy shop has just opened at the Team Valley and you can go and test out all the bikes and trikes. Charlotte has been talking about a bike, so we took her for a look and she's fallen in love with this one:

Em - love the cat in the highchair :rotfl:

EA - hope you feel better soon xx

Charlotte loves birds and we get a lot come to our garden, so I've bought a fancy bird feeder thingy. It's a planter with a pole in and you can hang different feeders and stuff off it. Unfortunately it's arrived in loads of little pieces with some really crappy instructions. Going to try and assemble that with her this afternoon, but not looking forward to it!
Here I go again on my own....

kindof, E would be still quite young for the trike come Christmas, wouldn't he? Finn will be 1 and I couldn't imagine him on a trike by that time, so I would definitely wait until at least his birthday to think about it. Plus you'll be closer to summertime so it won't just be sitting around the house unused for several months :)

SS, being American is no excuse for not making a proper roast dinner. :p
