if i ever doubted my decision to leave my job, i don't know.
any employment buffs about???? my contract states i am required to give 4 weeks notice. i have asked for my 14 days leave to be taken as part of my notice? can they refuse this request? i know they can't refuse to pay the holiday time, but can they refuse it to be used as part of my notice???
Ultimately they can't MAKE you work there - a contract for personal services is unenforcable and they all know that - it is day 1 of a law degree! You are free to leave whenever you want - but you will be breaking your contract they don't have to pay you.
Elle will be here soon hopefully.please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

Nope I wanted to see them in the flesh.
Will it look okay with only 1 to start with? Or do I need to buy more?please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

I would just write another letter to them saying that you are awaiting a date and suggest xxx as the date which you would like to leave, with your holiday days taking you to the end of the month.please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

it will look fine with one, but you might find that they try to get you to buy two 'stoppers' so that the charm does not move around the bracelet (as in the whole way around the wrist).
i have two charms and two stoppers at the moment, but i had birthday money to spend.0 -

Yes I did Kindof, thanks for asking
My flexible working request has been accepted, apparantly there was never any doubt that it would be as I made such a good business case
I'll be going back on 4 days, with fixed days off (I was on 5 days with a floating day off) so I'll work Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat, which means 3 days nursery for T as DH will have him on a Sat.
I'm not going back till next May but need to start looking at nurseries quite soon.
MFD - I think one charm will be fine
