Webuyanycar.com will give me £3675 for the heap of crap. Considering it will cost about £500 to be repaired.... I say I get rid of it. Now to convince DH. I honestly hate the thing. (and I'm ranting)

Sami, that toy has crappo reviews on it though :(.

I'm not huge on the pram urges either - I bought the cheapest, easiest thing I could get my hands on for when Finn was born and then bought the Petite Star Zia because we were travelling. Just sold the cheapo one and have no plans on getting anything else until whenever Number Two gets here! But I do own 3 slings :o.

Becles, is it worth seeing your GP about the attacks? Is exercising helping clear your mind a bit?

Tara, sounds like you really do need a cuppa! Maybe going to your friend's will actually be nice, sometimes that sort of thing is surprisingly more therapeutic than expected.

    Haven't seen searchie around lately...

AF, hope you get work sorted!! Glad LO's sleep is slowly getting better.

Tia, that's better than DH's car since they won't even give him a quote! Sounds like a pretty fab price to me.

Sorry Becles, I don't know what has been happening, but have a hug?

Aless, DH isn't convinced, he keeps hanging up on me. So know what? He can have the thing back and I'll just go back to my megane and he can deal with the heap of crap.

Plus, I found a 03 jag X type!!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! If only I didn't have the kids... and could park... I'd so get it for myself!
  • :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

My mam has elliot tonight, we dropped him off at 6, I said to her he should go in the bath now, then bottle then bed

So I text her at 7 to ask how it was going, and he has screamed since we left :(

Screamed in the bath, would only have 2oz milk

    I think he is tired

I suggested rocking him in his car seat to her

But she is getting upset cos he has done this to her before, so she is upset thinking he hates her, which of course he doesnt, I am upset now cos I could hear him crying over the phone

I offered to go and get him and she wants me to give her half an hour

I dont understand why he does this, he doesnt do it all the time

I dont know what to think, I am feeling very sad, I could honestly cry

That is a good point smartie.

BTW I love the name Daisy :) Congratulations on making her real! I didn't have a middle name, and it never did me any harm (I have one now - I use my maiden name as my middle name or I would miss it!)

Thanks!!:) We were a little annoyed after we left the registry office and popped into town.... heard another mummy calling out Daisy to her little toddler!!!:rotfl:It happened in Mr S the other day too!!!

Oh and big sighs of relief here!:D After we registered Daisy we walked out of the building and there was a tv camera and tv reporter interviewing someone. We had no choice but to walk towards the camera!! It wouldn't normally of bothered me... BUT I WAS WEARING UNSEXY JOGGING BOTTOMS!!!!:eek::eek: (I've just had a c section so I'm allowed ok;):p) Well we watched the local news and thankgoodness the camera had zoomed right in on the bloke being interviewed with no sign on us!!!:rotfl:*wipes the sweat away*

    Hi all

Have vaguely caught up here and there for the last couple of days but not fully so apologies if I missed anything directed at me!

I am fine just lacking sleep and horrendously busy, and therefore very low-energy in my down time...

Today was my bosses' 50th birthday - yesterday following on from a 4 hour team meeting we went out for a birthday dinner for him; his assistant had secretly got his wife to come along, the venue was a surprise, his wife had done on of those "books of life" consisting of nearly a hundred pages of messages and poems and pictures from his friends and colleagues round the world, etc. It was all quite full-on.
Meal itself was a bit ridiculous - we were there 4.5 hours, I was eating duck hearts with truffles at one point... it was a 7-course taster menu in this 'private dining' thing where we had a flatscreen TV showing us the kitchens, and each course a different chef would come out and introduce themselves and explain what the dish was and how it had been cooked... sommelier explains the wines he has matched to the meal.. etc. Really a bit silly but my boss definitely loved the theatre of it all. Then when he went home his wife had arranged his two sons, in Spain and the US, to fly in for the weekend and be waiting for him!

Mostly have been busy with work and the boy though, not just out having crazy times :p

Unfortunately the only thing that really sticks in my head from reading back is Amber's awesome tutu :D :T I hope people are OK and those people who were not OK have now improved a bit. Venting here is always good and I might do a bit later if I have the energy!
  • Ok she's got him to sleep in his car seat, fingers crossed he has a good sleep then will have his bottle and go to bed, I dont understand why he is doing it though, he cant get enough of mam when she is here

On the down side, that website values my car at £50 :( I suspected as much :(

E has had a cold/cough for a few days and his sleeping has really been bad all week, combined with extra-busyness and OH really hitting new peaks of enfeebled pregnancy it has not been an easy few days. Last night after getting home at midnight I showered and slept til 4, then was up for a few minutes with sad coughing child who was coughing himself awake and then standing up and wailing 3 times between 4 and 4.30... then OH went to take a turn, only it turned out her plan was to shout at him that HE MUST LIE DOWN NOW AND BE QUIET, so I then spent til 5 cuddling with quivering hysterical snot dripping monster... didn't get back to sleep after that so just lightly dozed a little til the alarm went off. All week there've been at least 3 or 4 wakings a night. I am really hoping the cold is to blame and it will all go back to normal really fast.

Then boss made me eat cupcakes and drink 3 glasses of champagne at lunch

Also nearly came home halfway through the day after OH emails about reaching the end of her tether and crying because she couldn't bend over to tidy up.

Amusing Elijah moments - this morning I put him in his highchair, he was chattering happily away. I turned away for a mo, he said "DADDEN?!", I turned back and he says "Bad mama??" then gives me a huuuge grin and shouts "NOOOO! Mama go in de oven?? NOOOOO!" and cackled. Mysterious but I laughed. Then during the day OH mailed me this quote:
"Look! LOOK." *stares at finger and walks dreamily toward me* "Dere's a BOOGER! Give it to Mama."
