I hate the knock on the door people, I choose who I give to.

Aless, I'm fine, just pooped. I was on strike put have delayed it until tomorrow. My friend just rang, her hubby has been taken into hospital and she's been there all day but heading home to take over from MIL with her one year old. She's in a state and would I go round for a glass of wine, no 'cos I'm driving but I'll gladly take a cuppa. She's Polish and she has no other friends so I kind of feel like I must go even though the thought of an eveing on the sofa was on the cards.

Am I the only one around here who's not got obsessive pram/pushchair buying urges???:p I suppose there's still time for that to happen!!;)
Alice is three and I've never bought a pram or pushchair. I do have a borrowed pram (which is a lovely really old silver cross) which I used for four months and there's a pushchair we were given in the shed which we used as a garden seat for Alice before she could walk. I have bought two slings though.

Should i report it though? I dont want her knowing it was me and i dont want to cause trouble :o
Either she's doing it deliberately (i.e. knowing it's wrong) in which case who knows what other potentially dangerous things she's doing or she has no idea in which case she needs the help, support and advise which SS could give. We're talking five weeks here - if it was say 13 weeks or was under Doctor's advice then fair enough but there are limits. If she was starving the baby you would report it wouldn't you?

EA... some people say/exaggerate when their baby's reached certain milestones just to make their baby look advanced for their age IYKWIM?? Are you sure she's actually feeding her child and not just saying it to make herself "look good"??

My baby boy is wriggling around the floor by lifting his bum and pushing caterpillar style

Got some bargain nappies at sainsburys - 2 economy packs at £6.32 each, used my remainibg 2 £1 off pampers vouchers, then got 2 of the £2.50 off till spits, one for pampers and one for fairy so i bought another economy pack and a large fairy non bio gel which was reduced to £4 and then got another 2 vouchers :money:

I'll have to go back again next week. anyone know when the baby discounts finish?

Becles, hugs. Sometimes it seems like everything happens all at once, doesn't?

It does. Just got myself in a right state about stuff and the panic attacks have come back :(

I never had any pram/pushchair urges. Got a Silver Cross Kensington pram that I used for walking the dogs and local errands, then a cheap Chicco pushchair to go in the car. Once she turned two, we never used either as she walked everywhere.
Here I go again on my own....
  • That is a good point smartie.

BTW I love the name Daisy :) Congratulations on making her real! I didn't have a middle name, and it never did me any harm (I have one now - I use my maiden name as my middle name or I would miss it!)
