I remember one of my friends asking her husband to put a hat on their second baby who was a few days old. He said, "I'd rather not - I'm afraid I might hurt her head." I pointed out that being born was probably far worse than having a hat put on.
This I like :T:T
My ex-mil who I really don't get on with seemed to think DD1 was made of cut crystal, and used to tell me off about how I picked her up and held her, until I pointed out the fact:
'They yanked her out with giant barbeque tongs and she's still here so she can't be that fragile or her head would have come off'
Oh her face! That was 8 years ago and I still chuckle about it :rotfl::rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

LOL rmac.
My brother sent me an Amazon voucher for my birthday and I sent a thank you message. Two days later Amazon wrote back to say they didn't think the message was intended for them as I'd sent it to them instead of my brother. Then had to apologise to him for not saying thanks for my present
glad its not just me
I do that.
Or I write out a really venty post to go on the forum, then I delete it and it makes me feel better just getting it out of my system.
My parents didn't have Charlotte yesterday so I didn't book any calls in for work.
My day went: got up at 7am and made the boys packed lunches and made sure they had breakfast.
Had the grill fire/bed wetting saga that I posted about.
Put Charlottes duvet in the washer.
Saw boys off to school and had breakfast with Charlotte. Fed the dogs.
Typed up two internet reports while she watched iPlayer.
Took the dogs for a walk.
Put duvet on line and Charlottes bed linen in washer.
Hoovered and mopped the floors in the utility, kitchen, hall and porch.
Had a mini disco with Charlotte.
Put Charlottes bedding on line and put our bedding in washer.
Tidied the kitchen.
Tidied up all the dumped clutter in the hall, and sorted out the shoes and jackets.
Made lunch.
Changed Charlotte and took her to nursery.
Put our bedding on line and put dogs beds and doormats in washer.
Walked the dogs.
Ironed a big pile of childrens clothes.
Made Charlottes bed up.
Went to fetch Charlotte.
Put dog beds and doormats on line.
Finished off ironing childrens clothes.
Put Charlottes clothes away and nagged boys to do theirs.
Washed up dishes.
Cooked tea.
Ironed bed linen and put it back on our bed.
Showered Charlotte and put her to bed.
Helped Joshua with his family history homework.
Had a shower.
Did about an hour of paperwork and surveys.
Randomly surfed for an hour or so.
Went to bed.
Then as we were getting into bed, Craig said "did you enjoy your nice lazy day at home?" I said it was easier going to work, but he just smiled and I'm not sure if he understood that I meant it or not
Been rushing around today, and even though I'm sitting having a cuppa now because I'm tired, I still feel guilty for sitting down having a rest before I have to get Charlotte
I swear DH has no idea what I do all day. but of course whatever I do isn't as taxing as what he doesr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
So I've listed my Maclaren on gumtree and netmums, where else can I put it for free before I list it on eBay?A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Who was it who is getting their LO a swing for Christmas? Was it Kindof? Could whoever it is let me know which one as I remember it sounded fab and my Mum wants to buy H one for Christmas. Thanks!
I've had a lovely, lovely day with my boy today. I find I am enjoying him much more now I am back at work. I think it is partly down to the fact that he is at such an interactive stage now and partly just because we try and do more now my time with him is limited. He has just been too cute for words today.

CAFC, DH only admitted after DS2 was born that he was so bad with DS1. He realised only then that he had missed out on Ds1's babyhood because he was so eager to get time to himself when he should have been prioritising family time.
Though we still have the great big 'day off' argument on a regular basis.
DS1 has just announced that he is getting extra help at school with his work and I have been told nothing about it at all! Very angry. Not that he is getting help, but that there have been things going on and I have not been informed. I think he could be doing with a tutor or something outside of school? No idea how I could go about it, been thinking that as he likes to do his science projects with power point we could expand on it. But how would I find out what he needs and how to do it? *thinking out loud* And find time. It's hard enough just getting time to do homework right now.0
