It's very easy when you are worried about something and when you aren't feeling great anyway to see the worst possible interpretation of it.

And now I have visions of your husband working with Tyrannosaurus Rexs. (I'm sure I've spelled and pluralised that incorrectly but you know what I mean.)

Interestingly Tyrannosaurus Rex is actually a plural in itself - the singular is a Tyrannosaur :D

I work with very many of them ;)

My schoolfriend just 'chatted' to me on FB and told me that her eldest (I think he is 6) may be autistic and is being evalutated at the moment. I haven't seen friend for many years but we were once very very close and we now keep in touch, mostly via FB. I have never met her son...so I said: 'Oh bless him - hope you can move forward with that quickly and get all the support that you/he need'

    I did okay didn't I? I do worry about upsetting people :o

I get confused what the difference between sippy cup, doidy cup and beaker are. Or are they all the same thing? Finn uses the TT kind that I see everyone...valved spout that folds down. Is this is a sippy cup?

MFD, no experience here but I think that sounds fine and supportive.

  • Sounds lovely (and supportive) to me MFD. From my comfy sofa and not being in that position, so I might not be the best person to comment. I know what you mean though, I always worry about saying the right thing.

We sterilise bottles because I thought that was to do with the growth of milk bacteria in the nooks and crannies of the bottle. We don't do anything else though and Henry permanently has toys and things in his mouth.

I sterlised bottles until mine were finished with them (12-15 months). I used to work in a microbiology lab and I know how quickly milk bacteria can grow, and bottles/teats have too many nooks and crannies where it can linger.

I never bothered sterlising bowls, spoons, teethers etc. By that time the dogs were giving them manky rubber bones and stuff to chew, so it seemed a little pointless :D

Lovely pics kindof  Are you going abroad on holiday? I took Hipp milk powder for Charlotte as it comes in foil pouches and it was much smaller to pack in the suitcase rather than the tubs of powdered milk.

Xmas pressie question - especially for those with 3yo's ish

Charlotte has this one in pink:
    http://www.leapfrog.com/en_gb/families/leapster2/leapster2_learning/leapster2_learning_system.html

She loves it and although it says 4-8, she can manage some of the games on it and it will grow with her as she learns maths and English skills.

She likes a Princess and the Frog game with a cooking activity and you have pick out say 3 tomatoes, then cut them into two pieces and count how many pieces you have. Repeat for other ingredients. It's portable too so handy to take in the car or on holiday. Batteries have a decent lifespan in it and we took the charger on holiday.

Much better day at nursery today. Charlotte had no tears and only a slight lip quiver when I left :j
Here I go again on my own....

Sounds okay to me. I always worry too. Sometimes I spend ages agonising over what to write.

    Same here!

I didn't want to get that sippy cup at first because everyone had one and I thought they were common...then I realised that everybody has one because they are simply the best sippy cup around :D

Although Benjamin drinks out of a bottle with a sports cap for half the time at home.

  • afternoon everyone

we've had a lovely morning, taken dd swimming and she loved it, i was prepared for screaming but she just lay in the water looking round and she's been fast asleep since so i managed to go get my legs waxed in peace and no longer look like a hairy mammoth.

We've also been having a few bf's without drama so gonna keep offering her and top up with formula as needed until i'm producing enough again and we'll see how we go.

Attempted to catch up last night but fell asleep over lappy, noticed a few birthdays so belated happy birthday to those kiddies and hugs to everyone who needs them.

    I HEART KINDOF!!!!
Thankyou for L's lovely things. They turned up just as I was deliberating how cold it was outside so one came into immediate use :)

which leads me on nicely to OMG (especially at BeenieCat and Susan ((i think) who live round these ere parts) How freaking cold is it? I've put the heating on and im not ashamed to admit it.... been into town and literally went to post office, primark and superdrug and that was it as i was too cold, and i thought Landen was getting cold and i'd already taken my scarf off to put over the blanket he had as he refuses to have his hands tightly covered, and his hands were getting a mottled like appearence....brrrrrrrrrrr

oh and KitKat if you're about, I posted a small packet to you today as well :)

am now sat back at home munching on some sainsburys milk choc cookies, nommy nommy....
