'Oh bless him - hope you can move forward with that quickly and get all the support that you/he need'

Sounds perfectly acceptable to me. :D

While you're there, did you sell your stokke prize? I'm ebay listing as we speak, and am wondering if I like it?, if i'll use it?, should I sell it?

Weezl You've had lots of very useful answers already...where I worked there appeared to be no difference in how mums or dads were treated when asking for part-time/term-time work patterns. There is a suprising number of dads working term-time - mostly those with school aged children and with wives who earn more than them.
But, I think with it being a government department they try very hard to get equality right.

Kindof, E is so cute. His and Lilys future babies are going to be beautiful :D

I blew up Lilys blow up ring now she can sit up a little and she loves it. We filled it with plastic balls and she was in it for hours.

    Then she did this..

and in my house a beaker is a glass that is made of plastic not glass. I may be weird though!
I was hoping someone else would reply because my description of a beaker would have been that it's a plastic glass and I thought it would sound funny.

Its a shame that past a certain age sleepsuits dont come with the turn over scratch mitts....but thats a good idea, maybe that way we'll get some use out of his socks... since they certainly never stay on his feet!

    EA - go Lily :j

CAFC, it has been very cold here. I think you lot are a further up than me, though - are're you venturing into Geordie territory? We're right next to the sea though, which doesn't help.

Madam has figured out how to get her socks off by sliding one foot down her ankle and then rubbing it against the top of the sock. She looks very pleased with herself and most disgusted when I put them back on.

  • I'm having to do naptime controlled crying. I may have to change my name, I'm bored of being called mummy now... (it is more like controlled whinging, with the occasional bit of put-on crying in between as she tries her luck ;) )

    Hi all :)

Went into town today for a look round the shops. I decided to go in BB's for a coffee and a scone, and saw there were 2 ladies sitting near my table who both had Stokkes. After a while they turned to look at Caitlyn and were awwing and saying how cute she was. Then one of them kept going on about how she wanted a girl, she had 2 boys, didn't really want another but wanted a girl so tried again and got another boy. She said how disappointed she was at the scan. Now she's thinking of having another to try and have a girl. The other woman was saying she believes it's what you eat that determines the sex. If you eat a lot of cheese you should get a girl *rolleyes*. I couldn't believe how caught up they were in the sex of the baby. I don't mind what I have as long as it's healthy. I know it's a cliche but I really believe it. Then they were talking about money. The lady with 3 boys says she really watches what she spends now, only buys things on offer and thinks whether she really needs something before she buys it. She said this while sitting next to her Stokke and wearing her metallic patterned UGG boots!

Sorry ladies, I don't mean to sound judgemental, but I couldn't get my head around it!
