Isn't there a law saying you have to have 2wks Matenity Leave?

If so why did career mom go back after 1 week?
She owns her own business though so presumably can do what she wants.

I'm another one who has typed out 'How are you?' to Susan several times and not posted it. I figured you would bring it up in your own time. You know we are all here for when you do have things to say. I googled your signature and it's lovely.
agree with all that tia has said here, really well :)

    Morning all.

Kian is busy keeping my mind occupied. unintentionally of course but i'm taking it as he's looking after me... i had a cry before and he looked all worried till i smiled so he knew i was ok

DH is not doing well. He is doing the 'if i had done this/been here' talks. He feels he let his sister down by not being able to save her or not being in the house when the police called for him or not having spoke to her on the day when she rang. he thinks she would have said something to him. its so hard as part of me still is angry at her for causing him (and parents and daughter) so much pain.

Any Hoo.... did i mention that last friday at nursery Kian slept on a little bed!! such a big boy!! :D:D
he is now climbing all over his chair being very brave

her daughter is doing really well. still has some night terrors but are lots better and she loves seeing Kian and helping PIL look after him.

very hard to forget this one and no-one in the family is mentioning it. which i find a little strange. ( in my family we always talked about the person who died... maybe its a religious belief thing??) however i completely understand that no-one wants to mention it so ruin Kian's birthday. which is why tomorrow is our sad day and thurs our happy day :D
I'm glad she's doing well. Do you mean they never talk about her at all or just that they don't talk about when she died? My family don't talk about when someone died or mark anniversaries or anything but we will talk about the person when they come up in conversation. But OH doesn't know anything at all about his dad's real dad (who died in an accident when he was about 12) as his dad has never ever talked about him and he's always felt like he can't ask.

I'm trying soooooo hard to give her the best of everything - my time, quality time, learning opportunities, toys, clothes, socialising with other children,, physical activities etc etc and keep the house that i seem to be acieving nothing apart from keeping her alive (an barely that after the knife incident):o
r.mac, I'm a bit patchy in my attendance on here so I hope you don't mind me joining in!

I just wanted to say that after having very high expectations of myself as a mum, I flop into bed now with DH, and he goes, 'they both still alive?' and I go 'yup!' and he goes 'job done!'

And juggling with knives is absolutely a learning opportunity! We learn safety that way all the time at my house!

And you're an amazing mum. As well as being sickeningly attractive in a younger slimmer version of kirstie alsop way- <spits> :)

SS, cool (on both counts). I figured Molly was growing up bilingual, which is a fantastic thing.

I love your list, the bit about shaving your legs made me laugh. Definately need to schedule that mine are quite gross, that and dying my hair.

Aless, Im with you on needing a kick up the bum to get stuff done!
