off to bed now - thanks again for letting me vent. Its actually helped me feel 'lighter'. Tomorrow is a new day (this is my new mantra).
3 - lets try conquer this keeping toddler alive and mummys sanity relatively intact together

Rmac - it was around this age that I started to introduce the idea of counting to 3, there was a consequence if she hadn't stopped what she was doing by the time I got to 3 - I use a stern tone.
All I have to do now is starting counting in the same tone and she knows she's reached the boundary so goes and does whatever I've asked.
When she's really pushing her luck, if the counting and consequence hasn't worked, and the behaviour continues it's time on her own at the bottom of the stairs.
I also introduced a reward chart at the same time as she was beginning to potty train, she loved the idea of winning stickers, but did not like getting sad faces.
Hope some of this waffle helps, feel free to ignore it.Proud to be dealing with my debts

In the time i managed to pour hot water an milk into a mug to make a coffee, she had climbe onto the kitchen table:eek: and she was saying 'bow, bow, bow' which means bounce, while - yep you guessed it - bouncing!
I'm sorry, but that bit made me giggle! V's favorite things atm are climbing on things, and then bouncing. :rotfl:
It's interesting that your Mum says you were similar - and you're a very normal adult now, aren't you?
I'm sure she's not as bad as you think she is. Has anyone else complained about her behaviour?, or is it more that you're worried about what people think?
A is obviously a very clever little girl. Her speech seems very advanced for her age, so I imagine her tantrums/testing are also advanced. Nobody told our babies that the terrible 2s have to start at 2.
As MFD said, L is also worse for Daddy, because he lets her be! When L & I went to Blackpool for the day, he decided to take V down to the park. He was so stressed out. She wouldn't 'bend' to go into the pram and screamed when he tried to get her in. So, he decided to push the pram, and let her walk, but she didn't want to walk either. So he walked to the park, carrying V and trying to push the pram too. :rotfl:
He also took her to Asda, but she wouldn't go in the trolley so he let her walk/run around causing chaos! :rotfl:
And any meals in the house that he prepares, if i'm out of the room, she'll be walking around eating it, because she wouldn't go in the highchair. He's such a soft touch!
Krystal I also forgot earlier to :rotfl::rotfl:at Aimees comment. Did you actually manage to hold the laugh in?:beer:0 -

Had a busy day so haven't read back. *hugs* to all who need them.
rmac - is there anyway you can have a rest? Could someone look after her for a day or even just a few hours so you can have some me time? Sounds like you could do with getting out and doing something for yourself, or just staying home and having a nice bath and a film or something.
After posting all the bread stuff earlier, guess who forgot to put bread in the bread maker this afternoon?
Here I go again on my own....0 -

[STRIKE]I hit her in the eye with a chair leg! :rotfl:[/STRIKE]
I don't know, I think she just knows Daddy is soft and i'm not?!?!
She does stiffen when I try to put her in the highchair, but I can easily bend her in. I just think OH doesn't try enough.:beer:0 -

LOL - I simply wouldn't take no for an answer so it would be a combination of determinedness, a lot of stern words and some physical 'encouragement' to do what he was told. I guess I am just curious to see if I am just a monster of a mother
please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman
