I knew I had something important to [STRIKE]confess to [/STRIKE]say!

In my cleaning frenzy today, I picked up a little desk chair in L's room, and hadn't noticed V had creeped up behind me.... and I got her 5mm from her eye with the leg. There is a little tiny cut that got blood and she wasn't very happy about it. :( I really hope she doesn't have a black eye in the morning.

    I'm a bad mummy. :(

    ((Hugs)) for Jillie. xx

Isn't there a law saying you have to have 2wks Matenity Leave?

If so why did career mom go back after 1 week?

It said she 'was back in the office' the next week. TBH if you have your own business then it would be pretty hard to keep away...but you wouldn't have to work full time, just pop in and out to check up on things and make decisions IYSWIM.

Hubby has his own business and he had no choice but to go into the office when Benjamin was 4 days old. After that he went in pretty much every day, although we were lucky that he often didn't leave the house until say 11am and he was often home by 3pm.

It's so true, today I've been laughing one minute, welling up the next.
How is Benjamin after his recent pooplosions?

He is not himself...he started with a runny nose about 10 days ago, he has been grumpy and stroppy, we had a random vomiting episode the other night (his cot was FULL!) and now 2 very big watery poopsplosions. It is either a bug with legs or some very stubborn teeth.

    Thank you for asking :A

I went ages ago (somewhere between 10 and 15 years ago) but I'd forgotten about it. I'll have to peruse the website and think about whether Alice would like it.

Hmm - DSS was quite scared by some of it, but he does have a very active imagination and hates scary stuff. He was probably 6 when we went. Overall we did adore it though! We went there, stayed in a travelodge and did Beamish the next day.

Oh yes - what I came here for is because I'm watching Cherry has a baby on iPlayer and she says it's "incredibly rare" to wait until marriage to have sex. Now I know it's not common but surely it's not incredibly rare?
I said exactly the same thing! Funnily enough it's not so incredibly rare that they couldn't find another abstinent couple for next weeks Cherry gets married program though!:rotfl:

ETA - at least 3 of my fiends waited, there were the first to get married tho ;) Christopher was at our wedding so I think you know we didn't wait :p

What shoe size are everyone else's children? Alice got new shoes today and they are size nine. Her friend who is eight is in a size ten (but I know she has small feet so isn't a good comparison).
Chris is a size 9 too

Well they did used to have a 'bedding ceremony' where everyone would follow them into the bed chamber, help undress the bride and groom and then watch as the marriage was consummated!

  • evening, just catching up

ss hope molly feels better and yay for saying yes

somnium, that would be most kind of the fairies (but someone might have to explain what the fairies are and how they work.....)

em, glad widgies ok and nothing too traumatic

kindof, that would really irritate me but then my oh tends to do what he wants anyway unless i really make a fuss, but then feel like nagging wife...

ea, sorry your course wasn't quite what you imagines, hopefully it will get better, possibly??

sj, hope both your colds go away soon

kitkat, glad they were supportive over your decision about pumping

mel, jack did that with the telly the other day, i was in the kitchen and he came in to ask me what the 'ladies' on the television were doing and where was scooby doo.....

mfd, hope benjamins ok and you have a vomit/poop light night

and i think i'm about caught up! (although the time its taken me there's prob 3 more pages to catch up on!! sorry if i missed anyone..

we've had a boring day, had to take dd for her passport photos which was rather amusing, have the most unattractive photo of her now which she's stuck with for the forseeable future! can't wait to go on holiday, haven't been abroad for about 8 years, so hoping for a bit of sun.

Gonna try booby group tomorrow for some much needed expertise and then reassess the feeding situation once more.

Also does anyone know where i can get battle force 5 toys as its all ds wants from santa and the only ones i found are in argos and sold out, he will be distraught if santa doesn't bring him any!!!!

Hi you - I admire you, I couldn't do it. It wouldn't be healthy for me or Benjamin for me to stay at home. They all test us from time to time, is there anything in particular that is a problem? Can I offer any wise words ;):D

    :( What's she been up to R.Mac?

It could be worse - you could have hit her in the eye with a chair leg. :o

  • becky - hope booby group is good for you xx

Can you post a link to whatever toys you are looking for and we can keep our eyes peeled - if there are any anywhere the PT members can sniff em out :D

Edit - I hope V doesn't have a black eye 3 (although Benjamin has had a few, at least one of them was my fault!!) and I am sure she has forgiven you now. x

i think anyone who is a sahm is very brave and patient, i wouldn't be able to cope on a full time basis, though it is nice to play at it every now and again!!
