:grouphug: It must be hard. I try to deliberately not remember dates of bad things but in this case it would be pretty difficult to forget. How is her daughter?

    just spotted your post.

her daughter is doing really well. still has some night terrors but are lots better and she loves seeing Kian and helping PIL look after him.

very hard to forget this one and no-one in the family is mentioning it. which i find a little strange. ( in my family we always talked about the person who died... maybe its a religious belief thing??) however i completely understand that no-one wants to mention it so ruin Kian's birthday. which is why tomorrow is our sad day and thurs our happy day :D

hope you are ok Susan. i've been thinking of you

Although my heart broke today as this is the first time in about 4 weeks it's been me and Daniel on our own, when Hubby went to work this morning he came over to me sat on my knee said "Daddy Gone" and then started crying :(
Think he was better after his 3hr nap, mummy felt alot better for it too.
Don't know if this helps at all but even though OH works full time and I've always been a SAHM, Alice is always asking OH to have a holiday (i.e. stay at home) and getting upset that he's at work and missing out on what we are doing.

Susan - have you ever been to the Forbidden Corner? It is THE most wonderful family day out...although it might be for kids a little older than Alice. It is a magical place though. We went 3 or 4 years ago now and we still talk about it regularly now.

Edit - here it is - I would THOROUGHLY recommend it to anybody.
I went ages ago (somewhere between 10 and 15 years ago) but I'd forgotten about it. I'll have to peruse the website and think about whether Alice would like it.

Yes, I was wondering if the ms had kicked in already.
Dont think so, but i did feel a little nauseous earlier and i hadn't eaten.

Last time it was around 5/6wks i think.
  • Night Jillie, hope you sleep well

MFD that place looks amazing. That's going on the "must visit once Alfie is old enough to appreciate it" list. Sounds the kind of thing Alice would love too.

em - Clio is better, havent looked at her foot though! I am crushing her pills, and then stabbing a whiskas temptation biscuit over it so it sticks then shoving it in her gob - its the only thing she loves to eat :rotfl:

Did you have words with the OH? and  at him not asking about Seth's sore willy.

I think Keira is getting sick - When I picked her up from nursery they asked me if she was okay as her face looked swollen to them, and I did think this morning her under eye baggys weren't so big as usual (cause she has chubby cheeks, it makes the bit under her eyes look bagtastic) I think maybe eyeshadow she had been wearing had made it puffy? but she is barking like a dog and sniffling now - better not be something viral
  • EM/BM - one of my cats is sending sympathy purrs, she suffered 8 weeks of indignity in a cone and on anti b's 18 months ago

Hugs for S and Kiera too, get well soon.

I'd rather call in sick and lose the money than go in with greasy hair...
