Rabbit I can't find in my book, but hare's almost the same?
Jugged hare:
1 hare/rabbit, cut in pieces
100g chopped bacon
3 chopped onions
rind of 1 lemon
2tsp thyme
2tsp parsley
1tsp marjoram
1/2tsp mace
1/2tsp ground cloves
1/2tsp nutmeg
240ml red wine
240ml beef/chicken stock
juice of 1 small orange and the lemon you took the rind off
1oz butter
1oz flour
Season the rabbit and put the bits in a casserole dish with the bacon, onions, rind and spices. Mix the wine, stock and fruit juice and pour it over. Cover it, making sure the seal is good, put the pot into a saucepan and fill it 2/3 up the sides of the casserole dish with water. Bring to the boil and cook for 3-4hrs, keeping the water at a gentle boil. You can also do it in a slow cooker overnight.
Apple Batter:
10 apples, peeled and cored
11tbsp sugar
225g plain flour
4 eggs
1/2tsp salt
600ml milk
300-400ml cream
Butter a pie dish, fill the centre of the apples with sugar (1tbsp each) and pack them into the pie dish. Beat flour, milk, eggs, salt and the remaining tbsp sugar until you have a smooth batter, pour it over the apples and bake at 180C for 45 minutes. Serve with cream.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

 I believe in some cultures they do actually check the bedsheets. But no evidence doesn't necessarily prove anything so it seems a bit pointless anyway.Edit: Incredibly crass, Susan, I was wondering if they'd hang the bedsheets out for all to see the next morning.
:eek::eek:Well they did used to have a 'bedding ceremony' where everyone would follow them into the bed chamber, help undress the bride and groom and then watch as the marriage was consummated!Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Based on anecdotal evidence I'd say lots of teachers (at Primary level obviously) disagree with it but they are required to set it. You can sometimes tell by the kind of homework that is set.redmel1621 wrote: »God I flaming hate homework, i really disagree with it and think it should be scrapped:cool:Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

went to nursery with Charlie today where he played up and made me look like a hopeless mother
The staff took over and i ignored him as the more i stepped in the worse he became. He has been re-reffered to the speach therapy as they think he has come on brilliantly but his speach is still behind. they also agreed Erin was clearer and had more words.
I have been put forward for sign language classes which i found strange after Tia talking about it! The classes should be soon and they will have someone to take it into the nursery and school with him.
I have taken a reaction to my new tablets and cannot stop itching, its driving me mad and im taking antihistamines with no effect. I feel they are working so not sure what to do? have slept most of this afternoon so hopefully the good effects will outweigh the bad?
KOAG i would arrange a night out and as soon as he walked in i would hand E over and go!
PMSL at the dress catching on fire and also watching for the first time! how scarey would that be? it would put you off for life! What's for you won't go past you0 -

What shoe size are everyone else's children? Alice got new shoes today and they are size nine. Her friend who is eight is in a size ten (but I know she has small feet so isn't a good comparison).
When DSS was 6 his feet were a size 12, my neice was 9 in the same year and her feet were a size 1.
DSS is 10 now and his feet are a size 3 one foot and 3 1/2 on the other
I was wondering how you are Susan, physically and emotionally. You said something this morning about not wanting to put the washing out, it struck me as 'incredibly rare' (;)) for you to say something like that and I have been thinking about you all day xxx
I hope you don't mind me asking. Feel free to ignore me.please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman
