Susan, If we were in the USA, I would use the words "uncommon" but definitely not rare. Here, perhaps "unusual" or possibly "rare" but definitely not "incredibly rare".

Am still trying to upload photos. Internet is being hair-pullingly slow today, which is just trying my patience as I also have a grotty baby, messy house and the beginnings of some sort of cold. And will be out all day tomorrow, so no chance to catch up then either! Thankfully DH is being a doll and doing most of the baby minding today :).

Yes your right susan, his two best friends partners basically tell them what they can and cant do, its ridiculous and stupid imo, I mean yes you dont want your partner doing what they want but at the same time they need their own mind its ridiculous

I feel sorry for OH sometimes cos he has plans to go out with his friend lets call him N and hes all excited (like a little kid) then N rings the morning of said day and says he isnt allowed out its insane

I just think OH doesnt think when it comes to asking me, it drives me flipping crazy
And if their partners are liable to randomly pull the plug at any time without warning then he may well feel like he has to grab every opportunity they are given. Obviously unfair on you (and needs to be discussed) but understandable to some extent.

Oh Susan, while you are on. Am I correct in thinking you have lots of info on immunisations?

I'm think about doing my graded unit on them, and would very much like to view them from all angles. Along the lines of 'The argument for and against childhood immunisations'.

Or I've looked at IVF, Cerebral palsy or maybe something completely different.

Wonder if post natal depression is biological enough... *thinking out loud*

  • So I go and fetch Aimee from football practise... And we're walking up the hill to home and we're talking about names... She informs me she doesn't like Iris as a middle name and would like to just be called Aimee, or have a different middle name...

I say we can't change it because it's written down and that's her name forever...

She very dramatically says "Oh B*ll*cks..."

Do you know how difficult it is to be stern and flabbergasted without actually laughing?!

Apparently she heard it from Mama Mia...

She won't be hearing it again for a while...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Well my "Adult" maths course earlier was a bit of a joke.

We spent 3 hours doing stuff that i didn't even think they did in Year 1!
She got us to dance the macarena whilst doing our 6 times table, she got us to add things up and didn't seem to like that i knew the answers before anyone else. When i got one answer wrong she was almost "HA" about it.

She got us to change the way we work things out to a more awkward and complicated way so we can help our babies with maths. All my baby is interested in is rolling around and eating everything. Not maths.

Next week she is bringing in chocolate to help us learn and also those plastic units, tens, hundreds things.

DH thinks i shouldn't go back as i might get frustrated with it and walk out, and offered to tutor me himself :rotfl:
He said them classes are aimed at very stupid people and i put myself down to much and im much more clever than i think :o

In baby news, Lily is being a PITA currently. She's on the floor crying because i keep moving her away from my laptop wires. Clearly im a mean mummy :p

We are going to Paultons Park tomorrow so i have packed the bag ready and about to get the car seat out.
I cant go on any of the big rides now so i'll have to settle for small rides and looking at animals :)

What shoe size are everyone else's children? Alice got new shoes today and they are size nine. Her friend who is eight is in a size ten (but I know she has small feet so isn't a good comparison).

    :eek::rotfl::rotfl::eek:

I'm bored and I don't want to do any more cleaning as I haven't stopped sneezing since I dusted this morning. I need the baby to wake up so we can go out somewhere.

DH has just left to go to the Man U v Rangers game. He was only in for 30 minutes after being out working all morning.

I need help (of the culinary kind;))

Ds1 has got a Victorian project that needs to be in by Friday! We have decided to go with a food theme...we are doing a poor/workhouse diet and a wealthy/aristocratic diet. For the poor one it's easy (and cheap) Some bread, HM soup and a bit of cheese:) I am worried the rich one is going to cost quite a bit, but has anyone got any ideas of what we could (cheaply) cook? Am I right in thinking Mrs Beeton was the woman of the time:)

    xx

I have a Victorian cookbook, as it randomly happens. Give me a little while.

Oh yes - what I came here for is because I'm watching Cherry has a baby on iPlayer and she says it's "incredibly rare" to wait until marriage to have sex. Now I know it's not common but surely it's not incredibly rare?

I think I'd say unusual. The religious branch of my family all made a point of announcing that they waited at their wedding dinners (:o) and I've a few friends who did, but for both partners I think it's unusual. "Incredibly rare" sounds as though it's incredibly rare in her circle of friends.

Yeah I totally understand he has to grab his opportuinties, I am not so much ticked off at him, I am more annoyed with his friends partners for messing their plans around all the time, which then messes me around

I am slightly annoyed with him for not being a bit more understanding

EA thats is ridiculous! I wouldnt go back, do you know of any GCSE courses? I got a D in GSCS then resat in night classes and got a C (was a couple of marks off a B)
