Morning everyone.
After a week of V riding around on the brush making horsey noises, we got her a hobby horse. She's absolutely terrified of it. :rotfl:Back to the brush then.
Hope everyone has a good day, especially Susan, Mr Susan and Alice. (I hope the weather is better up there, it hasn't stopped raining since we got up at 7!)
J's at playscheme so we're off to the library to try and keep the house quite so OH can sleep (he was in work til 6, and back in tonight). Then gymnastics this afternoon.:beer:0 -
Medela mini electric plus rocks. It's a double and doubled my pitiful output
The swing I found too wimpy, so it depends on how your manual pumping is. Do you get more from gentle pumping or big pumps? (yes, I am giggling like made at all this pumping) 0 -
Morning campers!

Hopefully today has started as it means to go on, yesterday was a totally rubbish!
Edgar woke me this morning with a gentle tap on the head then he babbled something and made kissey noises so I kissed him and he kissed back then gave me a massive smile and hug :smileyhea:love::happyhear
oh just seen the Jade thing
Susan - hope you thoroughly enjoy your family day today :kisses3:
Thanks for all the uniform info
I think I'll get him one for cuteness and photo ops
and then get him a couple of supermarket bits just for nursery.
Boasting mum alert! I'm so proud of Chris at the mo and totally big headedly loving that all the nursery staff are amazed with his reading  Mum said last night that he can read better than about half of her new yr1 group :T
Must go get dressed, need to take Ed to mums for his hair cut :wave:0 -
Tia, if you're still there I have a question, I published your method for poaching a chicken and I've had a query come through about it and I wondered if you could please help me with that

Sami, how did you teach Christopher to read?
Obviously we're nowhere near that stage yet, but it sounds really interesting. You're totally entitled to have the proud mummy moment - your boys sound like such sweethearts.

Thanks everyone for your advice re: expressing. It's great to speak to others with experience, no one seems to have heard of it around here! Lol. The hosp lent me the Medela Lactina which I find good, but strangely I find my TT manual pump equally as good but a bit tiring! I think I will see if I can find the Swing or double Mini for a good price (might try eBay).
For the past 3 nights Theo has nearly slept through the night, he's only woken as I've woken him for feeds but last night he went 6.5 hours until his next feed... And it could have been longer but I woke him. Is this normal? I hate to wake him but I don't like him going too long without a feed (normally roughly 4 hourly or when he shows he's hungry).
Does anyone know roughly how long child benefit takes to come through? I want Theo's birth certificate back! Lol. Plus I need proof of child benefit for tax credits so everything on hold!0 -
Talking of reading, Aimee came back from school with her new book bag on Thursday with a book that she probably read in reception.. I'm really quite peed off about it... I asked her teacher yesterday what the criteria was for choosing a book and she said that the children are in a colour band and they generally choose their own book from that section... So they've obviously put Aimee in a remedial colour band... The book had 3 words per page... Last year she was reading 12 months ahead of her age so what's happened there?!
Anyway...
I just booked my driving test and now I'm very :eek:A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Lily was up again last night. She keeps freaking out because she cant breath when her nose is blocked and she has a dummy in.
But she wont sleep without the dummy in and im sooo very tired!
Kitkat, mine took about a month to come through i think.
When i finish work i need to tell everyone my income has changed, not looking forward to waiting on the phone to get throgh for ages.0 -
I'm sure I will when we eventually go. (insert rolls eyes smilie) At least I said we should go in the morning - if I'd said afternoon OH wouldn't be ready till the evening.Susan - hope you thoroughly enjoy your family day today :kisses3:Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

The Swing is super noisy compared to the Symphony

Perhaps but you can at least easily hear the tv over the swing
The mini would have been fine for occasional use but I found it too noisy to use every night, where the swing isn't.
I think kitkat had already discounted the symphony as being too expensive.
I didn't get on with the manual pump at all but my best mate finds it better than the medela mini  She's just bought a swing on ebay but I'm not sure how much for.
I had the same problem with photos. DH took photos of T with everyone but me! When I complained he said that I never wanted my photo taken coz I hadn't done my hair/make up etc so now I make a point of asking him to take me whenever I look nice!
I think my child benefit took about 3 weeks.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0
