I need some advice people - It's some time away but it's playing on my mind
My cousin's wife has had 3 miscarriages that I'm aware of after ttc since their wedding 4.5 years ago. One of them was around the time I was pregnant with T so I suspect it would have been due at a similar time. She's 4 years older than me. We haven't seen them since T was born but they're coming to his Christening. I was just wondering with how I should play it wrt taking T over to see them, asking if she wants to cuddle him etc. I'm fortunate enough never to have been in her position so I can't really understand how she would feel. T will be 6 months by then so not a tiny baby which I'm hoping may make things easier. I do't want to be insensitive but I also dont want to treat her differently to anyone else. We're not close but get on very well iykwim. I don't know if it will be an issue or if I'm making more of it because I feel so guilty.
Can anyone who has been in this position or who has a friend in this position give me any advice about how you/they would want to be treated?
ETA she didn't get pregnant for over 3 years then had 3 miscarriages within about 9 months, all of them around the 5-8 week mark
like veryone else has said, i would treat her like everyone else. when it comes to holding T, i would leave it up to her.
an aquaintance at a MC a few weeks ago and last sunday in the pub, she was quite happy to hold Kian and have a cuddle. DH was a bit :? as he wasnt sure what to do when she came in. but she was ok about it all.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Kian has started to climb into his chair and sit down himself
my baby is growing sooo much. he climbed down the stairs the other night as well.
ETA: he can now turn himself around to get out of it as well :rotfl:'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

SS, that's very true. :rotfl:at your brother thinking you and hubby might be overcome with lust in ikea!
My brother and I stayed at our grandparent's house a few years ago. My grandma fully expected my brother to sleep on their couch, even though the guest room had two beds, and ensuite. She was horrified we shared, even though he would never have fit on the couch, and had a heavy cold.
The only reason I wouldn't want madam sleeping with OH is because he's a heavy sleeper who moves about a lot, so might squish her. We partly cosleep, but Sophie stays on my side.

3, have u tried a technique with V like CC or Supernanny or something? That might give u the structure u need to to show her u mean business.
I'm not against trying CC, but if I leave her to cry, the other two will be disturbed. Maybe it's something to consider at the weekend when the big ones can stay up a bit later. (And i'm all on my own as OH is on nights from tonight).
Plus, I don't think she'll actually sit in bed and cry, she's much more likely to run around the room emptying drawers.errrr
does 3 drive an enormous bus?
Yes, a double decker and I wear an old bus conductors uniform too.
It's just a 7 seater, but only mine & V's seats will be used, so I can fit in 5 extra people.:beer:0 -

ds has started school this week and is loving it, he came downstairs this morning at 6.45 with his tie clipped onto his pyjamas :rotfl:
your ds and dss look like they get on well, does dss like having a little brother?
Aw how cute!!
DSS loves Benjamin and Benjamin ADORES his big brother. DSS thinks that it is a bonus that he has a little brother to be cute but that he doesn't have to put up with him all the time :rotfl: His super-spoilt mate told his mum and dad (who are still together) that he wanted a little brother the same as DSS's - ie one that he only had to see at the weekends!!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120
