Elliot went all night without a bottle!!!!!

He woke at midnight, 3am, 3.45am and 4.30am but I gave him his dummy back and put his mobile on and he went straight back to sleep!!!!!

He's still asleep now, I'm only up cos I woke at6 and was surprised he wasn't awake so I went to check on him.

I so hope hecankeep it up and eventually not wake at all in the night

Is Charlotte at nursery soon Beccles?

Yes - she starts on Monday. Need to pop along to school either this afternoon or tomorrow and buy a tie because I forgot to get her one :o

Lovely pics MFD. Hope his tongue feels better soon xx

    Yay for Elliot sleeping through.

No work today but my Mam is taking Charlotte anyway this morning so I can start the dreaded exam revision.
Here I go again on my own....

Lovely pics MFD but poor little tongue :(

Gill I agree with the others, just treat her normally.

Thought I'd better carry this across....it's only a couple of weeks away now.

What's the date again? I probably won't make it as always but I'd like to see if I can - I have nine days of holiday to take before the end of October and two are booked with my Oktoberfest weekend with my friends coming.

Massive to do list today but will no doubt be bobbing in and out as normal.

Thanks ladies for the perspective on velour sleepsuits. I had it in my head that they'd probably look better than they are and you've all obligingly confirmed that for me.

    Morning all!

Busy day ahead of prepping for our mini trip tomorrow and trying to figure out what to pack for Finn as he has very little "warm" clothes in his current size! (it being summer and all :p) Lots of layering and blankets, I think. :)

Ooo I also think I'm going to join Flylady next week as I'm so tired of the housework getting out of hand and when I go back to work I will need an extra kick up the bum!

Thanks Gill - I think I'm off that day so perhaps a trip to the UK might be in order. I shall check the internet and flights :)

  • Morning. Day at home for me but lots to do, including a mountain of washing and some NCT volunteering bits.

Beautiful holiday snaps, MFD. I hope Benjamin's tongue heals well.

I had various Keypers and Polly Pockets as a child. I remember definitely having a swan and a snail keyper, but think I may have had a third too. I am going to ask my Nan if she still has my Mr Frosty, as I know they have loads of my brother's old toys so they might have some of mine. They do have a beautiful handmade doll's crib that my great-grandad made for my mum, so hopefully Henry can play with that when he is a bit older.

I've just read the 'Awkward Subject' thread on here and it's made me :(. I honestly never gave a second thought to H sharing a bed with any of his grandparents.

I need to go and make some bingo chat!

I was just reading that GISI, and honestly I can't see what he's making a fuss about if he has no reason to be suspicious - it sounds to me like the 8 year old wanted to sleep with one of the grandparents but the 4 year old wanted to sleep with Mummy, and now Mummy's upset because of the implications in wanting to "discuss" it.

And now there'll be a few people who'll pop up and feed the flames, Oooooooooooooooooooooh, I'd never let a child of mine sleep in a bed with a MAN!!! Last Christmas I hopped into my parents' bed on Christmas morning with the baby, but we had to get up quickly because my brother was already there and it was a bit cramped for four people and a wiggle worm. It reminds me a lot of the public breastfeeding debate, we've sexualised breasts to the extent that their sexy purpose now supersedes the functional one, and it seems that beds are going the same way. My brother, Husband and I went to Ikea at Christmas, and Husband and I climbed on one of the beds to test it. My brother was mortified - did he think that because there was a mattress nearby we'd lose all decorum and go at it fully clothed on top of the covers?

    Morning.

Becky, I don't hate dentists, my dad was one. Hope you enjoy the booby group today!

GISI, the awkward subject thread is a bit odd. Personally, I'd just ask the older child if mum wasn't being responsive. Maybe the kids just wanted to be different? It's not something that I'll need to think about, OH mum too old for sleepovers, and my mum is in Australia.
