I received the same email after telling them I had reported them to the police. Have had 2 letters one from MCO Capital and one from Helploan.
Could never get through to any of the phone numbers in the letters. The last letter actually gave me the account number and sort code of a HSBC bank account I should pay the money into. I'll get right on it.

What bank details did they put on your letter. Could you let us know the sort and account number?

    Many thanks,
  • To all newcomers,

Please post the bank details that you've been sent in your letters.

Lets see how may bank accounts they're using?

    Thanks

Heres the account and sort code numbers on my letter

    AN - 73663361

    SC - 404319
  • I read somewhere that all the cash was funnelled to ONE account in Birmingham....

Haven't heard that one. Want to spill the beans?

    Thanks for that Kota.

Do as others have suggested and contact Action Fraud, get a CRN Number and call the number on the letter. If they answer with the company name 'Intrum Justitia, speak to them and explain that you haven't taken out a loan with MCO (or did it come from HELPLOAN?) and they should listen to you.

Other than that, post a letter to the registered office address on your letter, (but don't write your signature, just type your name), should be Imperial House, London and sit back and try not to worry. If anything else happens, i.e. you receive another letter, then post the details.

No problem. My letter came from HELPLOAN, and i'll be ringing AF first thing tommorow morning for the CRN. The number on the letter (0844 576 5731) says call that number to pay using a debit/credit card, but im assuming i'll be able to talk to somebody regarding this so..once that call is done i'll get started with sending off the letters.

Hopefully tommorow night is a little more relaxing!

What cash? Did someone actually pay?
There is IMO a huge hole in their set up which someone or gang could have have exploited. The detail needed to apply and get a loan are available or even better access to the electoral role. They are "legit" and have lent cash to genuine and desparate people, search this forum you will find posts relating to payday loans going back way before all this kicked off.

SO FAR no one has surfaced who has anything other than aggro, has anyone here had any threats from them or their collection agents?

Experian dealt with it so swiftly they had to be aware of it early September. Helploan are still advertising in payper click which means Experian must still giving them service. IMO they would have stopped allowing them to use their service if there was even a tiny hint of them being directly involved.
