    Yes Global Warming is surprisingly cold isn't it. Probably why they tend to call it Climate Change now. It means you have to pay "Green" taxes whichever way the temperature goes!
    100% correct grahamqat - the forecast says we're going to get some more "global warming" tomorrow in ths shape of more snow and low temperatures.
    Surely there will be a "green tax" revolt soon - we can't afford them!:mad:
    Hope Tesco visit was successful - I have my Christmas "refreshments" (plus emergency rations!) in place :).
    Merry Christmas
  • Like the idea of the "emergency rations" George. You must have a background of logistics and forward planning. Hope the weather doesn't turn too severe for you folks up North. Also hope we all get scammed less in 2011! Merry Christmas.
  • I'd forgotten all about this what with one thing and another, until today when I got a letter from the City Of London police with a witness form to fill in.
  • Hi Tom. If you go on the Action Fraud site it says the police sent out 7,000 then 1,000 later on, of which they have had returned 4,000. The return ratio seems good and I would imagine they have more than enough info to be sifting through, but dont let that put you off returning it.

    Oh well, guess it's the end of the line for this thread. Dont expect any action now from OFT or FSA or the Police. They think licencing loan sharks is legal, the rest of the civilised world says it isn't. I dont really care now so long as it doesn't involve me. It's been great having the dialogue with all you posters, would have been very stressful had I thought I was on my own.

    Happy New Year to everyone on the thread and here's looking forward to a scam-free 2011.

    Having sobered up - and after shovelling about 3 feet of snow (aka known as global warming here in Scotland!!) off my 100 yd driveway, I decided to have a look at our forum and it seems that everyone has gone on holiday - CoL Police, OFT, FSA etc. - just like our illustrious politicians, postal "workers" and local councils. Since when did Xmas/New Year become a 2 week holiday??

    Thanks for your New Year wishes grahamqat.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR :beer::beer::beer::beer:

    Maybe there's a little bit of life left here on the thread - Happy New Year George and Eaglemar, glad you're still looking in. I see one of the new MCO Web-sites Popcredit is now up and running. I just checked the Consumer Credit Licence Register and I see the 3 new sites are now all licensed! What a great job the FSA is doing. The new site differs from the old ones mainly in trying to lend £750 rather than the £300. Let's hope the ID fraudsters can clean them out even quicker this time!

    Happy 2011 those of you still checking this thread.....
    I'm always delighted when my cynicism and contempt for the "authorities" is validated. Sadly, that's every time....... When will our populace get angry about being taxed to death to support a bunch of people who are at best incompetent? When will they realise that Lab/Lib/Con is just the "Establishment Party" and that they have no intention of doing anything for "us"?
    Maybe the very fact that we accept the status quo means we deserve it.
    You'd have thought that the very concept of paying tax on the tax would at least stir a modicum of anger? (VAT on fuel duty)
    Sigh. No wonder MCO Capital are still around. They've probably been compensated for their losses by the criminal victims fund;-)

    This, surely, is a gross dereliction of duty by the FSA and other so called regulatory authorities. They couldn't regulate the making of a paper bag!!:mad:
