Wannabe - Are your direct debits taking all your wages? Have you done an SOA?
I have a million things to do today and no idea where to start. Also have to go food shopping on my own which I hate because OH is meant to be playing cricket. Fingers crossed for rain here!No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

Buffy how was your first week back at school?
pretty bad well (not really since it was only two official days), although I am ok now.Burlesque_Babe wrote: »Buffy - how about an emergency walk in dentist centre?
It takes everything in me to go to my dentist, plus the nearest one is an hour's drive away and I have no clue how to get there by bus.
I will ring on Monday

Im thinking about doing the envelope system Suzy, money is really really tight and the cost of me getting DD to school everyday in petrol is going to be astronomical!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Sally, call me crazy but is it going to be worth getting B all that way everyday? Wouldn't a private tutor be cheaper than all that petrol? No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Hiya Wannabe....
I found myself in exactly the same situation this week. Got paid on 31st Aug and yesterday I was £56 overdrawn. My problem is that my rent, DDs etc all come out on 1st or 2nd of the month. I also transfer money online to my savings/debt busting/Christmas fund on 2nd too.
However, although my salary goes in, my rent comes out the next day which all but wipes out my salary (£995 on rent !!!!!!!!). My various benefits come in at other times (every 2 weeks and every 4 weeks) which doesn't make monthly planning easy.
Today I'm going to sort my transfers between accounts so that they don't all happen at the same time. Have you heard of the envelope system? Do a search on here.....
I'll be starting that this week too.
Chin up.....you WILL get through this.
Thanks SuzI`m gonna go to back to the start & see what i can do. I`ve just finished paying off 1 loan so should have a bit more money to do something with. I`m just debating whether to go & see my bank manager & see if i can increase my loan & get rid of my overdraft so that i can sort of start from scratch again.

Great news Kayleigh!
Hugs Wannabe, I agree with what the others have said. I love the envelope system, I always go back to it when things have slipped. I actually have three different purses so I can keep track.
Suzy, I wouldn't bother with recipe books, I just chuck everything in!
Buffy, hugs, I hope you can get to a dentist soon. Would clove oil help?Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

I have pencil cases.
1. driving lessons
2. spending money
3. ebay float (not that that has been used yet!)
everything else is direct debits and standing orders.
Although some how I STILL ended up overdrawn!! sent the wrong standing order to the wrong account.
oh well

Seriously??? It's as easy as that? I can't believe it :T
I was going to go online and look up some recipies. My slow cooker is huge.....does that matter as long as the bottom is covered. I'm not even sure how these things work
Erm....how long does it take to cook??
depending on how many temp settings you have, i'd have thought 6 hrs on high?
