Kayleigh that's such great news. I look forward to seeing your debt free post on Monday :)

Thanks. :) I can't wait! :j Technically, it'll be a bit after Mon but I'm counting it from then as that's when the cheque clears that'll allow it to happen. :j Let's just hope my good mood lasts afterwards as well.

    Fantastic news Kayleigh:j

Suzy, I use my slow cooker all the time now, today I have "chucked in" (catering term) a chopped onion, tin of value kidney beans, half a bag of Tesco own make quorn, tin of chopped toms and a carton of passatta........only remembered the chilli powder after half an hour:o

Non meat chilli and enough to feed us all with leftovers, cant have cost more than £1.50 either.;)
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Seriously??? It's as easy as that? I can't believe it :T

I was going to go online and look up some recipies. My slow cooker is huge.....does that matter as long as the bottom is covered. I'm not even sure how these things work :o

Erm....how long does it take to cook??

  • Morning all. Well done on becoming Debt Free Keyleigh!!! Oh i so can`t wait for that day to come (in a few years!) Where is everybody today? Getting ready for the kids to go back to school? I`m off in to town in a bit to pay some money into the bank.

I`m not sure how its happened but i`m really struggling again at the minute to make my wages last even past the 1st week & i`m constantly in my overdraft. I don`t ever buy anything for myself & can`t remember the last time i did. All of my direct debits come out in the 1st week of the month. I really don`t know what to do...
    AT LBM 7/1/08 (£24,018.09)- 25/09/11 (£13,032.25) - 26.04.15 - £6,429.70
LLOYDS TSB CARD £1,168.56 Loan 1LLOYDS TSB £5,261.14
:j Heading in the right direction!
    Its taking so long......:(

    Hiya Wannabe....

I found myself in exactly the same situation this week. Got paid on 31st Aug and yesterday I was £56 overdrawn. My problem is that my rent, DDs etc all come out on 1st or 2nd of the month. I also transfer money online to my savings/debt busting/Christmas fund on 2nd too.

However, although my salary goes in, my rent comes out the next day which all but wipes out my salary (£995 on rent !!!!!!!!). My various benefits come in at other times (every 2 weeks and every 4 weeks) which doesn't make monthly planning easy.

Today I'm going to sort my transfers between accounts so that they don't all happen at the same time. Have you heard of the envelope system? Do a search on here.....

I'll be starting that this week too.

Chin up.....you WILL get through this.
