For anyone in Dorset or west Hants, there was loads in Ferdown and it was relatively quiet and very polite. I got some Star Wars lego which I will put back for my son's birthday after xmas - really chuffed with that. They had loads of Bakugan, Transformers, Peppa Pig, Lego City - stuff that was sold out elsewhere.

Hear hear to whoever was praising the Sainsburys staff, have been in two stores today and in both they have been very polite and helpful.

I went to the Tamworth store at 7am this morning and got everything I wanted! So happy :j Also I had saved up over £100 in nectar points so didn't cost me anything!!! Staff were great, showing everyone where the extra toys were at the end of the aisles.

    Thanks Sainsbury's. :T

I will be popping in over the next few days to see if there's anything new. Love it!

Don't know who was debating going to Darlington but don't bother and get to Middlesbrough if closer as it's much better and loads of fireman sam and postman pat stuff.

I am glad it all worked out for you, some others including myself are not so lucky and don't have anyone to look after the children, and paying full price is simply not an option. My anger is not so much at Sainsburys, it is sadness that if I had been able to get the toys on line I would have been able to give my little ones the presents they have asked Father Christmas for. I agree Christmas is about family times and happy memories and part of that happiness is watching my children's eyes light up when Father Christmas has brought them the one toy they so desperately want.

I hope your children enjoy the 30 toys you managed to get today.

It is not about getting things for next to nothing,
Three years ago we was flooded. Long story short builders was awful. Kicked them out of my home, and took over myself. Was determined to get my children back downstairs before Christmas. Just managed 23rd Of December. i worked 20 hour days decorating. I also drove a seventy mile trip to get the only available WII. Boy was it worth it, i can still see him now. I have never in my life seen anyone get that excited, so much so he was nearly crying. Now that is a very precious memory that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
  • i was at the Basildon store at 7:00am this morning and there were loads .. about 30+ people trying to get down one main toy aisle - was utter madness but am happy with what i got, spent £119.00 in the first run and went back out this afternoon with DF and kids in tow to see what they had left (they were restocking) and grabbed a few more unseen bargains that i missed in the morning!

Saved me a fortune this xmas & i hope the same sale comes back next year, i'll be more prepared! :rotfl:
    another day another GRABBIT!
