I agree hopeful. People more and more want something for nothing these days!
thank you:beer:
christmas is about family time and memories not what you can get for next to nothing. i would give up everything for my kids to have their grandad/my dad back this year. You dont realise whats important until you loose it.
(i love a bargin (ask my hubby) but somethings are just a little more important in life x )
sorry.. but been reading this thread since this morning and cant believe how many negative comments their are.:T0 -

Well I was at the Preston store today. They didn't have some of the things I wanted but I mananged to get most of it. What struck me was how very helpful the staff were. They were under pressure with people in the crates looking at what was coming out next but the shelves were pretty full, no large Lego sets, no Imaginext, and no Fireman Sam deluxe but plenty of Toy Story, Buzz, Woody and other bits. Met another MSE member (whose name I didn't get SORRY!, but nice to meet you!). I had to do a 35 mile round trip but my boys will be happy. They don't stock the cameras or video cameras which is a shame but guess I'll find that somewhere.0

Just did chester and Wrexham.
Don't waste your time in Chester they have hardly anything, directing people to Ellesmere Port or Wrexham.
Just in from Wrexham - they have loads of stuff. Still loads of Buzz light year and toy story - peppa pig and LEGO including some Star wars lego. Lots of V-tech stuff, mini microwaves and hoovers.....can't remember it all...oh some Sylvian family stuff.
didn't get the board games i was after tho  said they don't stock them.
Hi, Ive just been to Wrexham and didnt see any Vtech that I wanted... in fact I didnt see any at all, what was there please?
I have come away with a lot from wrexham store but the 4 things I really wanted I couldnt get: Storio, and Kidizoom camera, and also the fisher price Zebra, Toy Story buzz story teller, well and toy story games like freefall were not there either! :mad:0 -

I was at Arnold Nottingham Sainsburys at 7.40am. About 15-20 people there & it was manic when it opened but everyone seemed to be in good spirits. I got everything I wanted for my little girl so I'm thrilled.
Sylvanian Families was big on the list this year...I got the Primrose Baby windmill,Caravan, car,Sainsburys Stall & lots of the families. I also got the Vtech Camera. Then it was things like a Sing Along CD Player,Jigsaws,Baby Annabel & the list goes on
It's a busy day in our household as it's our daughters birthday on Christmas Day too. I can't wait to see her face when she opens her presents :TOur 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -
I went to Marshall Lake Sainsburys in Shirley. Was disappointed as they didn't have any of the chuggington things I wanted
I should have checked before the sale, because although I know Sainsburys stock them I don't know whether that store does or not.
On the plus side they did have LOADS of toy story things inc. Buzz and the V tech computers.0 -

Staff are replenishing isles constantly, and staff are counting how many of each thing people have as there is a limit of 6 of one item per customer which I think is very fair. I did not get my Baby Annabel but will go back tommorow am at 7.00 good luck to all of you and hope everyone gets at least some of what they wanted.:p:j

starwars./startrroper figurines in packaging probably normally 4.99 were 25p!
Asked lady was there any left.
she said she ldumped some in trolly as only took what she needed but said was very busy over there.
I said never mind as kids were restless.
