I was in there this afternoon and happened upon the toy sale. Quite a lot there, and staff replenishing. Got Fisher Price Chatter phone for £2.49, Barbie Fairies for £7.49, and Construct and Go Roary £9.99. All half price or less. All on my lists for Xmas, so very pleased.
Also picked up Harry Potter 20q games for 34p each. Loads of them on end aisle by TV section at end of store. They go for approx £9 on Amazon! Only got 2 as stocking fillers. Bargain
Loads of Baby annabel, wooden houses, Buzz Lightyears , and Lego still avail.
`Save a little money each month, and at the end of the year, you'll be suprised at how little you have.

I was at white rose (with kids in tow) at 8am! Got lots of lego, lego games, hot wheels, elefun, gator golf, fisher price tea pot, littlest pet shop and meccano. All for my kids xmas/birthdays, plus a few smaller bits for all the birthday parties we have coming up. It was a bit manic at the lego/toy story end of the aisle, but I managed to get all I needed. Went to Colton around 11 and got a smaller star wars lego and peppa pig trolley for a friend.

    Roll on next year! lol
hi did they have the lego garage or fire station ?

I think one of the things that is annoying a lot of people is the limited range in store. Its not really half price on ALL toys, it's more like half price on whatever Sainsburys choose to deliver to the store. I earmarked six items on Sainsburys website to pick up for Christmas presents, but only one was available in store. I saved a few quid this morning, but like most people, I would of liked to save more :D

i agree - i only wanted 4 x things (not the big stuff) and both stores i went to had none :(
Saying Thank You doesn't cost anything

I dont think its a case of being lazy using the internet. Imo children grow up far too quickly in this day and age and whilst they still believe in the magic of christmas and santa let them. If that means ordering the items online whilst they're in bed asleep then so be it. Or should we drag them down to the store with us and spoil everything because theyve seen what theyre getting from santa x

Got lots of lego but you have to be careful with sainsburys as the price originally is more expensive than tesco or asda or amazon or ebay so then to make it half price it is not really is it?

I am really chuffed with my purchases had £50 to spend on my son and didn't know whether to get him buzz or woody as his main present, now I have got him both for less than the price of Buzz.

    Altogether I got
    Buzz
    Woody
    A kung zhu pet
    A zhu zhu pet
    Talking Pansy

They had a few decent big toys and a lot of the smaller ones in my store (Brighouse) Only one small aisle for toys there, I was a bit dissapointed there were not a lot of the bigger baby toys.

    My mum got
    2 talking waybaloos
    A moon sand set

p.s. Has anyone been to the otley (yorkshire) store as I may be going over at weekend and wondered if it was worth a look??
Mummy to two beautiful girls and one gorgeous boy.

isnt the whole point of a sale from a retailers point of view to get footfall through the door . if you are in the store you are likely to spend money on something. as with all large retailers what you may get from one store you may not get from another.
i am really happy that sainsburys actually offered all instore toys at half price (and we have a large store 12 mile away and yes i was lucky to get someone to have my kids while i went) as my other option would have been to pay full for it all . even if i did only get one or two items (which i didnt i got 30) i would have been happy to at least saved something. if they all chose not to have offers on we would be forced to pay the full rrp for everything. they are not obligated to sell just the product that our particular child wants just or because we say so and after all they are only a supermarket. i dont see toys r us following suit or any one moaning about them and they are always busy all year round and often the dearest.
all i can say is thank you sainsburys :T and well done.
