Saved me a fortune this xmas & i hope the same sale comes back next year, i'll be more prepared! :rotfl:

had a lift to the Deepdale store in preston this lunchtime.
they had loads of various bits and were re-stocking the aisles at the time too.
plenty of buzz's, disney big cuddleys, the arty crafty stuff and quite a lot of lego and transformers.
Got a couple of Hot Wheels monster trucks, a Lego Hero, 2 x Lego 3-in-1's , frustration, moon dough and pirate plank.
they had plenty of stock on all we bought.0 -

Went to London Colney for about 8:30am and it was rammed. People were fairly polite though most of the time. I did have a go at one woman who deliberately rammed her trolley into my 3 year old daughter and started to walk off.:mad::mad::mad: It did help that my little girl yelled at the top of her voice 'YOU NAUGHTY LADY. SAY SORRY.' This made the woman turn bright red and stumble through an apology.
Then we nipped into St. Albans and it was much, much more civilised. Not as many of the big toys but had loads of toy story, barbie, lego and lego starwars, pre-school toys, vtech stuff and board games. This was about midday and there were hardly any people in the toy bit.
How fab is you daughter well done to you and her xxxxxxxx
really tickled me xxxxx2008 WINS

I went into Telford this afternoon. Not much evidence of a toy sale apart from a few items on the end of the aisles and a bulk stack by the front door (unless I missed it of course)Mortgage Free as of 31/5/11 :j:j:j:j:j:j:j0

I didn't get the things I really wanted today, but definitely got plenty to put back for kids birthday parties over the coming year.
I must say though, I was so impressed with our local Sainsburys - Emersons Green Bristol. They were well staffed and all the staff worked so hard and were so helpful and friendly at a time which must have been so tough for them, bringing out trolley loads of toys to put on the shelves and barely having the chance to get that far, before all the customers emptying the trolleys for them. They had plenty of staff on hand to price things up for everyone and were so pleasant when asked if they knew of other product availabilty.
Our Toy Story stuff got snapped up the moment it was coming out. They didn't have (or not that I got sight of) any Toystory or Star Wars Lego, but was told by staff that they will be having deliveries up until Monday and they anticipate getting the more popular brands of Lego over the weekend.
So all in all, I think it's been good and will just keep an eye out over the next few days for any additional bargains, but I'm not stressing over it, just going with the flow. I was really careful though to make sure I only picked up items that I really wanted, rather than getting carried away with 'oh that looks good' and then knowing I'd never end up giving it to anyone.
I did get quite a few Bakugan bargains - which my son is really into, so will serve for birthday and xmas presents!
Got to say too that all the customers were in good humour too and helped each other out. I did not envy those that had to take their kids with them though, really took my hat off to them.0
