Watch out the Sylvanian windmill is £19.99 on line and they are charging £24.99 instore , the nice manager reduced the price to match the webprice so its worth asking :)

I managed to get a kiddizoom camera but only just! ii spotted one in a crate on the floor and hubby asked an assistant if he could have it and she agreed. I nipped off to the loo and when i came back he was talking to the store manager. Apparently at the till the lad was scanning the camera and an assistant snatched it off of him and said hubby took it out of her crate and he wasn't having it!
She then walked off leaving the poor till lad v embarrassed and apologising for her rudeness!Hubby followed her and explained politely that he'd been told he could take it, she said he wasn't having it and walked away from him when he was still talking to her! He saw the manager as it wasn't the item so much but how rude she was, and the manager went and got it back for us lol. I had earlier seen her in the aisles complaining about miserable people coming in, tho it was really quiet and everyone was being v friendly!
Anyway, got all we wanted so all's good!

Maybe she wanted it for herself and was 'hiding' it so she could buy it later.

i have to say sainsburys did put on their ask sainsburys bit of their website that the sale would be instore only so i cant understand why people are so annoyed with them.

    Hi hopeful,

We didn't find that out till very late last night to be fair and we all waited up to see if it went live at midnight like it did last night.

I was very disappointed as I only have a small local with not a very good range of toy's so yes I was one of the "annoyed" as you put it.

I have saved a set amount of money each week since the sale last year in preperation for the online sale this year.

By getting to shop online I was guarenteeing that all my Christmas present's would be sorted in one go for my children.

I like a lot of people on here do not have the money to buy these toy's full price.

Does anyone know why most of the sale things are not online? I have already got most of what I wanted but am just ordering a puzzle for 'click and collect' and it's not half price... noticed none of the things I got today aren't half price either.

Doesnt matter if the sale is instore only, but it says on the website "Half price Toy Sale". Just a bit confuzzled!! :)

I didn't get the things I really wanted today, but definitely got plenty to put back for kids birthday parties over the coming year.

I must say though, I was so impressed with our local Sainsburys - Emersons Green Bristol. They were well staffed and all the staff worked so hard and were so helpful and friendly at a time which must have been so tough for them, bringing out trolley loads of toys to put on the shelves and barely having the chance to get that far, before all the customers emptying the trolleys for them. They had plenty of staff on hand to price things up for everyone and were so pleasant when asked if they knew of other product availabilty.

Our Toy Story stuff got snapped up the moment it was coming out. They didn't have (or not that I got sight of) any Toystory or Star Wars Lego, but was told by staff that they will be having deliveries up until Monday and they anticipate getting the more popular brands of Lego over the weekend.

So all in all, I think it's been good and will just keep an eye out over the next few days for any additional bargains, but I'm not stressing over it, just going with the flow. I was really careful though to make sure I only picked up items that I really wanted, rather than getting carried away with 'oh that looks good' and then knowing I'd never end up giving it to anyone.

I did get quite a few Bakugan bargains - which my son is really into, so will serve for birthday and xmas presents!

Got to say too that all the customers were in good humour too and helped each other out. I did not envy those that had to take their kids with them though, really took my hat off to them.

There were quite alot of staff hovering round customer services.
when I went in lunchtimish just so many people near toys dident bother to look.
Really greatful for lady who went to get toys for me , she was a customer.

Its the tills and queues that bug me in that branch.
prefer filton as quieter and bit more spacious despite extension of emersons.

Might brave it tommorow as in mangotsfeild anyway.
