Just wondering if it is worth the risk of putting my husband in a bad mood by asking him to do a detour on the way home via Sainsburys! Our store is middling size I would say, with a good but not great selection of toys, so I think the chances of having any of the larger lego sets may be slim. To ask or not to ask.........Just a bit envious hearing of other peeps bargains I think!
Thanks all
I went to the smaller one near me in Wigan, and they had about 10 of the Lego Fire Station, they were no-where near the toy aisle though.Seriously worn out from all thisbargain hunting !!!0 -

I sent my brother on a search of the Stafford store! I failed miserably to get the toys my son wanted in Grimsby but he came up trumps! SIL found the Sonic Screwdriver in the Lincoln store, and my bro found the IM2 Wrist repulsor and light arc in Stafford this evening!
As an even better bonus to his find, we THINK the IM2 wrist respulsor went through at 75% off. Receipt says 7.50 (half price) and then at the end of the receipt is another 'save 50%' -3.75.:j
So Little Bro is now owed £12.73 and has a happy big sister and nephew!
IM2 wrist repulsor 3.75
IM2 light arc 3.00
2 x lego creator 5.98
(plus the £90 something I spent this morning on 'stuff'!)
Just trying to find the IM2 voice helmet (£36 online)...0 -

after hearing some of you went back i thought i'd go back to the rayleigh, essex store and i'm glad i went this morning, some stuff had been replaced but the rest of the shelves looked as if it was a closing down sale. Got three daughters so got some hello kitty stuff , diary pillow thingy and a hello kitty bag oh and some little pony's (sure my sister had those when we were kids) cant believe they still do them and they havent changed one bit!!!!!!!!!! still very little toy story stuff and i got a screature that was in a trolley that i heard someone ask a sales assistant i the trolley full of stuff was for sale and i overheard her say to the lady it was to go back out..... not much left but perhaps the staff couldnt keep up and will restock tonight... shouldnt really go back in tomorrow but having to buy for three i think good on sainsburys for doing something like this.
glad i wet this morning as there was no furreal animals or transformers or lego stuff....Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -

I manged to get everything for my little boy, the deluxe buzz, lego sets, action link, gormiti set. My Son was with me (my Mum stayed with him at the end of the aisle) and even though he saw what was in the trolley, he was so tired when we got home he had forgotten!
I was starting to think I was the only one on MSE who went to that store
did you get there for when it opened? I embarressed myself and did the fast walk, almost a jog down the middle isle to the toys, I had the cleaners giggling at me :rotfl:
I'm all spent up, or I'd be going again for some stocking fillersI'm still over the moon with everything I got and the children will be on Christmas morning
