  • Anyone manage to get any Zhu Zhu play sets? I found 1 add on vehicle by crawling around on my hands and knees, really hoped to get something like the grooming salon!

I got up at 5:30am was at one Sainsbury's for 7am and another for 8am .... not bad considering I don't drive and had to bus it, didn't expect much as despite being superstores my Sainsbury's are all naff.

Must say I did feel sorry for a few people who were there at opening, clearly don't shop regularly at Sainsbury's and had high hopes of what they would have in stock. I know last week they did have Lego Woody's Round Up but they were nowhere to be seen.

The "magic ball" things are Harry Potter 20Q.

Can I ask the lucky people who managed to find the Lego City Fire Station - one of the large lego sets - whether their branches of Sainsburys are the mega-sized ones?

Just wondering if it is worth the risk of putting my husband in a bad mood by asking him to do a detour on the way home via Sainsburys! Our store is middling size I would say, with a good but not great selection of toys, so I think the chances of having any of the larger lego sets may be slim. To ask or not to ask.........Just a bit envious hearing of other peeps bargains I think!

    Thanks all

mine was from a large store £29.99, that was York. Maybe ring your store and see if they have in stock,

    Good Luck!

    Hi

I was in Prestwick Store this am bout 10ish, and there were lots of staff constantly re-stocking. I got lots of Lego Sets for my DS and some small Lego Boxed Games, great for stocking fillers. I relented and got Bakugan Stuff for DS, but may hang on to this until his Bday dont think he really understands the concept of this game. Picked up some Moon Dough, traditional board games Frustration and Connect 4 (Both £4.99). Lots of SF, Toy Story, Star Wars Lego - I really was quite impressed :). Also grabbed toys for neices and nephews, who's birthday is 2 days before The Big Red Man comes. I spent a £147, but my pal xx picked me up bigger Lego Vehicles at 8am just incase I missed out. So boot full of Toys for £170. Nice one.

Also got box set of Videos for DS, £5 for Dr Do-Little. All in all a good day and well worth no sleep after a nightshift :)

  • We braved Braehead, Glasgow this morning at 9am and got a fair amount of bits. Lots of Lego for the oldest and my OH managed to bag a Kidizoom camera from one of the members of staff who was about to put them out :) I had really wanted some sylvanian families for my dd and a tomy aquadoodle for my youngest but no luck. Still spent £140 though but thats for all of them so I'm happy.

Our sainsburys is a big one and they had at least 25 of these out this morning first thing.

The Sainsburys in Canterbury had a really tiny section of toys but found some hidden around the store too, quite a few toy story woody talking dolls, bigger size and toy story lego items and Buzz men, little ones!

Nothing I wanted in thier but plenty of most things on the shelves. With regards to the Kitty lunch bag, they were accidently put on the toy aisle, I bought one and it came up full price, went cust serv desk and she did half the price for me but asked someone to move them!!

Dont suppose you remember if they had the lego fire station or garage???
Do you think its worth me taking a drive there tomorrow?
    Thanks

  • Went to Bitterne for 8am opening time, my Mum had my son in the trolley at the end of the aisle whilst I went down and grabbed my bits, sprent £73 ish and got gormiti, lego, buzz. It was a lovely atmosphere and was back in the car by 8.10am! So happy with my bits and am sure DS will be too come Christmas Day. the only thing I would of liked was the big lego fire station (£60 full price) so if anyone knows of any stores in Hampshire that have any could you please let me know. Thank you xx
