Got lego firestation (empty space on shelf, but if you check aisle ends near the clothes, there were loads on there), more lego sets, gator golf. no army stuff tho!! still on the lookout for a cheap army dress up suit for my 6yr old!0

I'm not trying to bully people into giving details as quite frankly I don't care where they live...
Nearly everyone on this thread has been great and have been happy with whatever bargain they've got. But when people say Sainsbury's have ruined Christmas etc it just makes me want to climb into my computer and start headbutting people!0 -
For anyone in the Sheffield area. I went to Archer Road first thing this morning and there was one aisle stocked both sides and lots of end of aisles displays as well. I thought there was a lot of stuff there and would recommend anyone going along. My partner's boy is into Lego and they had some of the games there (inc. Harry Potter), quite a bit of Star Wars Lego but only the small and medium sets (up to £30), a few Atlantis sets (but again only the smaller sets) and quite a bit of City Lego and some Lego racers.
I also saw a lot of Dr Who bits and pieces and at the end of aisles were the tool station things (Black and Decker?!) and I think I saw some kitchen sets.
There was a lot of Toy Story stuff including the expensive Buzz and Woodys. No Mrs Potato Head :-(
I'm pretty rubbish on remembering everything and on girl's toys (sorry) but there was a lot there.
I then nipped over to Crystal Peaks... just in case! I didn't get anything there but they seemed to have a very similar range (all but one of the types of Star Wars medium Lego sets had sold out though). Crystal Peaks seemed busier and more manic, but that was probably because I was there later on and not first through the doors! Crystal Peaks did seem to have a bigger section devoted to toys though.
Managed to get both shops done, pick up my Mirror and free Lego and make it to work for 8.45. Not too shabby!
Obviously it would have been nice to get some of the bigger Lego sets that we really wanted but we got a few bits and if we wanted City Lego or Toy Story 3 stuff we'd have been quids in! So get on down :-)
I'm assuming that things will get restocked overnight so I'll probably give it one more trip tomorrow morning.0 -

After waiting up until 12 for the online bits to go to half price and having none of the bits I wanted get reduced, I managed to make it to our local store at 7.30am. Just one other man there, and the staff putting out new price tickets.
Managed to spend £100 on loads of bits, Toy Story Barbie, Fur real Pets, lego, littlest Pet Shop, stocking bits etc so am happy. Only thing I really wanted that wasn't there was the barbie horse and carriage so I'll see if I can get it from somewhere else.
One guy turned up after me and was stacking loads of the lego into his trolley, emptying the shelves of certain items, so 7 or 8 of one item. The staff member told him he could have so many of each item, but he said he was shopping for his sister and it would be fine at the tills. Anyway at the tills they took most of it back off him :T He said he'd just come back tomorrow and get it again though!:mad: It was obvious he was buying to sell because why would you want 7 or 8 of the same thing?
Hope everyone manages to get all the bits they want!Wins since July 2009 - Ipod Touch :j£100 of Barbie products:j 2 night break in Cornwall for 4 with breakfast hamper and lunch at Fifteen! :j Postman Pat DVD & stickers :j Ipod Nano :j:T Thanks to all posters! :T0 -

I went to two stores this morning, first one relatively quiet, second one was MANIC but they were constantly restocking. Plenty of Buzzs and Woodys etc but I didn't need them.
What was very clear was that the shops had ALL the same stock and it was a lot of stuff they wouldn't normally stock. There was also a noticeable absence of things that would have normally been there...so I think they've taken certain things away.
I got Hot Wheels, Sylvanian Families stuff (some families, baby windmill, furniture, the blue car), Barbie dolls, puzzles etc. Spent about £150 I guess including the dolls house I ordered last night.0 -
Went to both stores in Exeter this am, not brilliant for me, the only thing they had that I wanted that they had was the SF windmill which for some reason is a fiver more expensive in store then it is online. Wasnt that busy, but congested in the aisles making it feel busier.
Must admit that I am dissapointed, was really hoping that would be the same as last year, its mainly along the same lines as the Tesco 1/2 price sale, lots of items they want to shift, which is great if you want those specific items.0
