Just got back from my local Sains (Swansea) it was pretty busy there, about 40 people queing with trollies to get it, there were 2 small asile of toys, I went in with a list of 23 things from online and only managed to get one of them instore, absolutley gutted:(, I had to get the kids up at 6am for nothing. Hope you all have better luck, I'm still pressing f5 in desspiration0

Just back from my store.
It was mayhem......well actually it wasn't that bad but I've never seen so many people down the toy aisle in Sainsburys before
I got there and there was 1 person, this was about 6.50am. I thought OMG people have stayed in bed, anyway, 2 mins later a couple more people turned up and then loads of people got out there cars lol
Stuff was flying off the shelves, the woodys all went so quickly, I remembered saying I would get one for someone on here but by the time I thought about it, it was too late!
I didn't get what I really wanted which was Battle of Endor and Lego Fire Station because they don't stock these
I spent more than I expected to, considering I didn't get the above and hardly any of this was on my list but I can't help myself!
I got
2xLotso Lego Trucks
Galactic Heroes
Nerf Whistler Darts(I bought the guns ages ago)
4xToy Story Buddy Pack
Dr Who Screwdriver
SOS Rescue
SOS Team
2x WWE Figures
Monopoly Revolution
Halo Pelican Ship
HM Armed Forces Gun
Lego Starwars LandSpeeder
Lego Starwars Freeco Speeder
Connect 4
Lego Game Minotaurus
Spent £140ish, I'm quite happy with that but not over the moon with it either.0 -
I went early and the staff said all toys instore are half price, got Jessie doll, peppa pig playhouse & moxie doll.
But online the jessie doll is still full price how can sainsburys do this?0 -
I've been to our two local sainsbury's - are we naming names? They are in the bedford area. The big one was busy, got a few bits of lego and the blue sylvanians car. Thought i'd chance my arm and go to the smaller sainsbury's and I was the only one there, it was dead! They had more sylvanians so got the postman, kerry's new pram set, meerkat family, also got a rubiks cube, atlantis lego. Am actually quite annoyed at sainsbury's because they sell a little sylvanians sainsbury's grocery set and that has been £9.99 for ages, I think it is even that price in the gift book but it is saying £8.49 half price today?0

I'm going to stop reading this thread, it's making me too annoyed. there seems to be a lot of holier than thou stuff going on. All the talk about all the bad people in the shops clearing shelves whilst the good honest folk at home on the internet. the saavy ones who have had their baskets full for hours and are already to refresh and go to bed. I didn't even know that could work but seems the internet equivilent to rushing a shelf.
Most of the stuff posted is mainly based on hearsay and guessing what is going to happen because that's how it happened last year. How sainsburys have ruined peoples christmas' and how they won't be spending their money at sainsburys. well it seems other people will do that for you anyway.
none of the few things I wanted came up in the sale but despite 3.5hrs sleep I'm not ranting like an idiot (well actually I am). my oldest only wants a DS for xmas and I can't afford that for him and certainly we can't afford a game for it so hoped to get a few items.
I'm going to look through the stuff now and see if anything that he might like to hide his disapoointment as I don't drive.
btw one last thing if people say I went to the the such and such store rather than my local store then people might have a clue what's happening in those stores rather than turning up and being disappointed.0 -
anyone one been into the hull stores and is it any good.
ThanksMum to 4 beautiful children
2011 Goals declutter the house  decluttered 42 items :j0 -
Hubby just called again. He spoke to a member of staff who said that the night staff had been supposedly meant to be been putting toys out, but were actually pushing the trolleys round & putting stuff in it for them & then exactly on store opening time they were going to the checkouts with their trolleys!
Apparantly there were 2x AT-AT's which were pinched by the staff.
I am so so fuming, I can't even begin to describe:mad:
That is extremely unfair & why didn't their manager pull them up on it, they were supposed to be working. The AT-AT's never even made it onto the shop floor.
Hubby did say that there is a Sainsburys suited bod pacing the aisles shaking his head. Good, I hope they suffer! And I do all my shopping at Sainsburys, so I don't just go there for the sale.
Ok, rant over. Off to have a coffee & look elsewhere now.0 -
Am not happy ! None of the HM Forces toys are half price onlilne and none of the 3 closest stores to me stock them!!!
My boys won't be getting as much this christmas now!!0 -
Managed to get 2 of the kiddiezoom video cameras, 2 of the £45 baby annabells, 2 lego city fire stations and a bunch of other things. Luckily my local store has only been open a month and is huge so had a lot of toys.I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0
