The fudge is really good and so easy to make. Recipe was from fb, feel I should give them credit as they have a blog and an inst@ account but it may just be a general recipe! She does post lots of nice things though.....500g of milk chocolate1 can of condensed milk (397g)15 butterbox of m@ltesers (I think crunch1e would work well too)slow cooker20x20cm tin lined with greaseproof paper.slow cooker on low, add first 3 ingredients, cook for an hour (without the lid) stirring every 15 minutes. When thick and melted stir in half the m@ltesers, transfer to tin and push rest of sweets on top. Leave to set for a few hours (speed up in fridge). Decorate the top with drizzled melted chocolate and sprinkles.Had a quiet day at home, it's very grey and drizzly outside and I haven't minded not leaving the house. DH has been out for some some food shopping and secret santa stuff. I've finished most of the wrapping and made a start on decorating the windows/doors. Have seen so many posts of people using chalk paints on windows, I thought why not! The children have done their own version and it's all looking very festive. DH is more artistic than me so will do the French doors tomorrow. I sometimes think we peak too soon putting the decorations/tree up so early so am happy to keep adding to the festivities.Got a bit ahead of myself earlier thinking the fixed rate for mortgage 1 was ending in April, it's actually mortgage 2 that ends in August but I had an inkling FD allow you to fix in advance. Had a quick play with the spreadsheet as currently on a 2.59 fix. If we can fix at 1.90 we will knock another 14 months off the mortgage!Right, time for a cheesy Christmas film and a coffee, I'm not ruling out a snooze (seem to be immune to the caffeine so that won't affect me!!) Fire is on, candles lit and I'm going to embrace some quiet time - even the dog is snoozing!December spendsSupermarket £171.31Fuel £68

The chalk paints have been fab, clean off really easily when needed and look so effective. DH is more artistic than me so let him loose on a set of doors!£5 top up shop on c0-0p deal, worth it just for the ice-cream! Food spends looking good for the stage of the month however I expect Christmas to blow the budget a little. Have just been planning with dh and he is happy to do the big shop next week which works for me! That's a job I am more than happy to get out of!Feel like I've hit a wall of tiredness this evening so not much planned and an early night needed, I say this far too often and it doesn't happen!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!6
