Slightly productive day although I am shattered after a busy weekend!!

4p Tilly tidy, quick top up shop after work and used a voucher and double up towards Christmas presents. Very glad I didn't put it off until after work tomorrow because as much as I couldn't be bothered, I'm very glad it's done! Arrived home to 3 more parcels being delivered too so the present pile continues to build.

    November spends

    supermarket £187.24
    fuel £88
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!

Provided they all arrive safely I am very happy!!

4p Tilly Tidy yesterday, £3.46 overpaid from a tcb request today and hoping for a cheeky overpayment when dh gets paid on Friday. He's waiting to transfer onto pension at new job so that amount is being paid off the mortgage for now. It does look like he's going to be left with a small pension pot from old job though so will see if that can be transferred to his other private one.

Few more Christmas presents added to the pile but think I still have a lot of organising to do!

Wow, amazing, Cath!  Between all that painting, and the successful ordering - very impressed, I'd better get my finger out!

Thanks debtfree, trying to stay consistent and we will be mortgage free before we know it!

Am absolutely shattered! Had a few comments I'm looking pale recently but I do feel pretty ghastly! Anyway, one hour dog walk this morning and tied that in with collecting some paint. Have painted the woodwork upstairs just to freshen it up before carpets go down. Was just planning to do the door frames but of course jobs (particularly decorating tasks) escalate don't they and I'm doing the skirting boards too. Spare room completely done, ours shouldn't need it (and carpet not being replaced so not a priority). So tomorrow I plan to.....

    * paint skirting boards in dd and ds room
    * check the paintwork I did today as might have missed some bits!
    * remove all masking tape (got the more expensive fr0g tape in the hope it won't pull off paint and undo my efforts)
    * paint bathroom and our bedroom door

I do wish I wouldn't set myself these decorating jobs with deadlines!!!

  • Sounding super organised and productive Cath. Sure the rooms and paintwork will look awesome when done.
