Back to reality this morning after a busy end to the weekend. Took Ds for a haircut assuming the barbers was an easy experience. We waited for an hour! I've taken him twice and that has happened both times, I won't be taking him again! The children also decided last evening was the ideal time to do homework after me asking them all week. I know it's not just my children that leave things until last minute but why do they do that?£12.58 spent yesterday on top up shopping and we will probably need another tomorrow.
We have a busy week ahead, Ds has a school trip and Dh is going along too, having lounge and a bedroom carpet cleaned Thursday (involves moving a lot of furniture) and then the dog is being neutered on Friday. I feel
like I've forgotten something but that's probably enough!Found the book I wanted in a charity shop for 25p after my mum had paid £6.99 for it. Dh is going to return it today for a credit note and also pay the holiday balance.Told you it was all back to reality and I am predicting an evening of homework!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!4 -
An evening of housework, eh? You know how to live!

Our local(ish) barber is great - a classic "old man barber". You have to get there *really* early at the weekend tho - I've had to abandon a planned haircut several times after getting there to see a queue of 6-8 chaps already waiting2

Just a quick post from me as I should be sleeping as have been shattered since I finished work -awful diet and lack of water is largely to blame.
Not housework Apple, homework. Ds helped me make his scones doe his part of his homework and dd has entered as many categories as she could! Only spends today was 58p on printing a photo (for one of her categories) so am taking that as a win. Dh did pay the holiday balance though but I'm not worrying too much about that until we get paid in March! Dh also returned the book we didn't need and dd now has an £8 gift card. She's enjoying painting at the moment so she may choose something crafty and creative.Small top up shop will be needed tomorrow so I'm hoping I can make a minimal list that Dh will stick too. We definitely need less junk in the house and I've resorted to buying biscuits I don't like. Will see how that goes when I have a huge sugar craving!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!4 -
Ed, I have been very naive of the barber system. Clearly didn't learn my lesson the first time!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!3

Thankfully no evening homework or housework here! Have felt exhausted again after work so really need to get on top of this.28p Tilly tidy today mainly just so I feel like I'm doing something as current account going to be slim this month after all our projected spends. Dh did do a small food shop but I don't know where the receipt is so will update once I have that. It was milk and ham but he's also bought lots of naughty treat foods so I suspect he's used his own money!Came home from work to find Dh has made me a huge batch of veg Soup which is appreciated. Maybe a nutritious lunch will help fight the afternoon fatigue.Have updated monthly spends below, we are having a pretty good month! I wonder if we can keep food to £200?February spends
