A 1:4 ratio of almond to water. Add a couple of dates for sweetness if you want. I don't have a food processor, but have made it using a hand blender and smaller quantities. I also don't zap it with al the water in at the start.5

Quick check in from me as I'm shattered and really do need an early night. Tackled some of the jobs I had on my half term list after work (things like cleaning windows, deep clean of floors and woodwork). Managed to do most of downstairs and will do the last couple of windows tomorrow in the daylight. Everywhere is looking a bit brighter and shinier now. Now if the puppy could stop bringing in mud that would be great!
ordered some shelves for a little project I have and delivery was attempted today so Dh will pick up from sorting office tomorrow.Cheap eats continue and I have the last of my batch cooking to last me for lunch and dinner tomorrow. Food spends are looking ok so far so fingers crossed they stay that way.I asked Ds this evening what he would like to do at half term. He wants to go to Cent3r Parcs, I was thinking of bike rides, baking and movie nights! Although I guess we could do all those things at cent3r parcs!Am looking forward to the weekend despite another storm being forecast. Am so ready for drier and sunnier days and less mud.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!4 -

Lets hope it isn't as bad, I need some dry weather. I remember how warm it was last year - mine were in the garden having water fights!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Well it's another wet weekend. Nothing like last year is it debtfree. I did read they'd already named the next two storms but the names escape my memory - like most things! Have already walked the dog and hoping it's dryish for another walk later. Have spent more money and do really need to keep out of the shops! Two weekends in a row I've gone to HB, seen the total and paid and then double checked my receipt as I was convinced the maths wasn't right. Turns out the tills can add up and I can also spend more than I think! Have kept a running total though and everything will balance on payday.Have had a company (we've used them several times for patio/driveway work) to come out and give us a couple of quotes for more work on the garden. Be nice to get both jobs done together but this very much depends on funds! Have a family member's big birthday coming up shortly which is rapidly depleting current funds, will be worth it though.Food spends are much better than last month however overpayments are not impressive at all. Only overpaid £6.23 so far (free money is a bit slow this month but have overpaid the penny I found in the car park this morning!)February spendsSupermarket £129.96Fuel £50.02June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!7

The storms rage on. Whilst we have been okay (apart from coming across a fallen tree whilst walking the dog) our surrounding areas have flooding so hoping there is no more bad weather on the way.
dh worked this morning but I've got a few jobs done. Two loads of washing done and also cleaned main bathroom and remaining windows upstairs. I'll tackle the blinds tomorrow as they are not one of my favourite jobs! It's been a NSD!! The accounts are just about surviving as we approach payday. Tomorrow's plan is to try to get to town to buy some furniture paint but I may bottle it as not sure I am
brave enough to actually paint what I am planning. It looks fabulous and very do-able in my head! I also may have to bribe the children to come with me. It's already sounding like a non-starter.....June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5 -
So today is going to plan but to me is also going too fast!
Made it into town with the children (brave move) and got the paint I wanted for my up cycling £50 spent and £1 on parking. Didn't feel it was sensible to subject the children to the walk I usually do into town to avoid parking charges. I am not creative so this a huge thing for me to do any I do hope I don't ruin everything I plan on painting! Dd spent the £5 my mum gave her in some acrylic paints, canvas and brush set (cost £10 so I gave her the extra). Ds couldn't find anything to buy so is saving his, money doesn't burn a hole in his pocket as quickly as dd.
£10 spent on fuel, would usually fill it up but don't have plans to venture far this week. Had an amazing roast dinner at my mums and we brought leftover home which will either feed Dh or both children today. I'm planning on eating a lot less than yesterday as I went a bit OTT at my mums!Dog walked (am up to 7500 steps already today), children fed, I've had a coffee and I'm going to tackle the paint preparations. This is the part I'm usually tempted to skip but I am hoping for a half decent finish!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5
