Me too debt free.
I am feeling very productive this morning, 10,500 steps already done helped by a wander round HB (spending money) and combined a dog walk and watching dd play football. Dh has cleaned and hoovered his car and mine has had a quick wipe around. His car gets so dirty compared to mine!Have bought some pretty mirrors and planned where to put them but just need to order some shelves online and then let Dh loose with the drill.Have stripped all the beds (except spare room) and all washing is line drying. Very tempting for the puppy as he has really enjoyed pulling my sheets off the washing line in the past!Dh has secured the garden to avoid everything being blown around when the storm hits later/tomorrow. I did open all the windows earlier to air the house but I'm freezing now even though they're now closed!
So the plan for the rest of the day is pottering, more washing, reading my book, catching up on diaries and possibly a nap. Definitely worth setting my alarm this morning and having a busy morning so I can relax a little this afternoon.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!6 -
Well that storm was pretty fierce. I did manage two fairly long dog walks though although the one this afternoon was much drier. I've never seen our local park so quiet. This also means I've done over 31k steps this weekend which helps with the fitness goals. Really trying to stay focussed on my nutrition but have been hungry this weekend (possibly due to extra steps). Did manage some relaxing time getting into my new book, always takes me a while as rend to read in short intervals.Dh has been productive today and batch cooked, re-organised kitchen cupboards as well as putting away some storage items I've gently been reminding him about!Today I did intend to make a list of things I want to do on my week off but it hasn't happened so will do it during this week. I've asked the children what they want to do but no ideas so far. Their games console 'live'
membership has expired and Dh and I are both in agreement that we don't rush to renew and that they also need to earn the money for it. We will see how successful that is!Plan for the coming week is to keep spends as low as possible which tends to be a regular theme here. Overpayments also still a bit thin on the ground this month which is frustrating but the mortgage isn't the priority right now.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5 -

Enjoy your week off, am sure my happiness on a daily basis is directly linked to whether I make an OP or not!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Thanks both, still 4 working days left until I get 9 off and am looking forward to some down time although I intend to make a lengthy to do list. Fingers crossed the projects get done and the list doesn't just get added to!Finally made an overpayment today, this was £3.89 made up of leftover money in account that a few direct debits go out from and I also found 5p today.Small food shop done, Dh kindly bought be almond milk but paid twice as much as usual as was in Mr S and not ald1
Have a couple of items ending on 3bay tonight and I need to order some shelving units to go with the mirrors I bought at the weekend. It's a website I've not used before but there is 7% off for new customers and 14% cash back on tcb. Just need to check out postage and not be tempted to spend more for free postage.Have also chased up dispute for shelves I didn't received from a company that has now stopped trading. Should be processed now which will help with the cc spends of late.

Have you ever made your own almond milk? Soak 1 cup of almonds overnight. Rinse well. Zap with 4 cups clean water. And that is basically it! A 1:4 ratio of almond to water. Add a couple of dates for sweetness if you want. I don't have a food processor, but have made it using a hand blender and smaller quantities. I also don't zap it with al the water in at the start.

Oh I might try that, thanks Apple.
Is anyone else ready for Spring? It's been cold and sleety here again today after yesterday's snow and there's more bad weather forecast. I really am ready for sunshine and warmth, nothing major but would be nice not to need a raincoat! I will have to get inventive for half term next week.
Not much to report today. Cheap eats from batch cooking and I had a refund to my cc due to an item that never arrived.
Sadly no shiny pennies on my dog walk and no surveys available. It might be a bit quiet on the overpayment front until payday which feels so far away right now. CB does land before then which will help on the countdown to payday.Healthy eating continues, these last 6lb are very stubborn!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!6 -
