Hi CathT
I have just caught up with your diary and wanted to say many congratulations on your pregnancy:) Eughh to the tiredness, I remember that well, it was only last year after all for me:oSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
Perhaps February is our new January? lol. Roll on March.0

I second that decision. I feel like i have wasted the month with the kids being ill.
I'm hoping my new settee comes in March and we can get the decorating finished. Then i'll make a start on planting seeds for the new growing season. I love spring.0 -
Just caught up and what wonderful news on your pregnancy.
Congratulations! :T:j
(You've made me broody now!)

Thank you for the congratulations, i am feeling VERY pregnant, nausea not subsiding at all today!
Heating isn't working again, have set it to max and will check it again and then ring BG to see if it can be fixed. In all honesty, i think we need a new boiler. I think that will have to take priority over OP's at the moment. It just feels like i'm not achieving anything if i don't overpay.
I read a comment on someone's diary once which said something about having savings. OP's will benefit us in the future when out mortgages finish earlier but sometimes you need to do things that will benefit you now.
Soooo, the £3k boiler savings begins. It's a bit complicated as it's situated in an understairs cupboard so i think part of the kitchen will need to be taken out to access it. We plan to house the new boiler in out small utility which also has w/c so that and the sink need taking out so that it keeps in line with our eventual dream kitchen plans. All added expense though!
Got me next months worth of hours and have added in 2 extra shifts, not the best idea when tired from pregnancy but needs must! 2 of them are during my annual leave when i would have had to pay for DD to go to nursery anyway. It's just unfortunate my stoppages are 40% on my extra shifts.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Sorry to hear you are feeling so sicky at the moment and to hear the boiler is playing up. The bright cloud might be a cheaper bill for heating though if you need a new one. Our consumption has become really low since we had ours done.
Take it easy.0 -
Good luck with your savings Cath
Hugs re nausea hunCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Thanks Michelle and Smlsave.
BG have been back out,we need a new circuit board which will be replaced tomorrow morning.
Had a random £50 deposited in account yesterday, it's from Tax credits so not sure what's happening there! I keep meaning to chase them up about the 1000's i spent on childcare while i was in last year of training. Anyway, that will help us out a little this month.
Have had my dating scan date through this morning 23rd March - can't wait!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I am back!! Have been feeling so dreadful haven't had the mental energy to come and post on here at all. Am so behind with all the diaries! Am feeling better last couple of days re: nausea, was sick yesteday and felt better for it and feel pretty much ok this morning. Good job as I am working this afternoon.
Sorted out banking yesterday and thought account looked quite healthy when i realised i hadn't yet paid a £250 cc bill - grrrr, not feeling so flush now! Also arranged for £500 OP to come out with mortgage for March. Taking advantage of no council tax again and had money paid into account from Quidco recently. Would be nice to keep up that level of OP's but it unrealistic!
DH has his job interview tomorrow so we have our fingers crossed for that, it's not MSE in that it's a £2k drop in salary but he will be home much more and hopefully happier at work which is what's important. Unfortunately i can't see it affecting the nursery bill much which has been £300+ this month and will be next month too!
Hopefully i will remain nausea free and be able to catch up on here a bit!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Hope your nausea passes soon Cath. Its hard getting things done when you feel so ill never mind going to work.
Good luck for your OH for tomorrow. You have your priorities right , family and happiness is more important at the end of the day. No point him being unhappy at work when he can change jobs.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0
