Thanks pooky, we do have a well stocked freezer and cupboard supply at the moment so been rubbing them down. Been having roasts and making them stretch, curries, some co-op deals for easy meals. I've been having homemade vegetable soup for work lunches with has really reduced costs.
Dh did a quick shop earlier, mainly for laundry supplies but also some protein yoghurt for me.
£10.35 in supermarket and £20 on fuel to start off the month.
Financial plan is to assess the accounts tomorrow or Tuesday (cb lands), transfer cash out of food account to rectify main account and set a strict budget for our return.ike I said in an earlier post, we've just done things the other way round by paying the 'leftover' funds a bit prematurely!
Haven't felt well again today, feel
Absolutely exhausted and it's the kind of fatigue sleep doesn't fix. Am hoping my blood tests may shine some light and a week in the sun will also help restore the old energy levels.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Morning.
Blood results back which explain my fatigue. I have ongoing low ferrritin which climbs into the lower end of the range following iron supplements but then a few months later I crash again with no long term plan. Was on iron 3 times within 12 months and was last on it around February time. Had coeliac test which was negative so now I am just baffled why I can't maintain it. Do have some digestive issues so am going to go gluten free after our holiday. Don't think I'm going to get a prescription before we go on holiday this afternoon so will have to rely on medicinal sunshine and a week away to lift my fatigue.
Cb has landed along with a generous £1000 cash gift. I don't know how best to use it sonhave stuck it in a 3% savings account for now. 63p Tilly tidy sent and after some money shuffling (no piano lessons to pay for this month as only have one weeks worth which I was in credit for) the account looks healthy pre-holiday. Gives us a £100 budget to last the 10 days to payday after holiday. This is very 'doable' so will see how it pans out in reality.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Have a great holiday Cath. Hopefully relaxing will see you through the fatigue. How lovey on the gift. Half to mortgage half for a treat?!?0

Thanks PF, it's nice to have the options. I am currently considering using it towards another holiday in the hotel we are currently staying at for next year. Have friends who would like to meet up with us too so it would be well spent.
Just checked tcb as had £11.46 payable so just sent that as an overpayment.
Had a fab first day in holiday, yes the white magnums are on the all inclusive along with two others! Have had lots of fun, done loads of steps, been on fast slides (when I'm usually a wimp) and am going to have a coffee made by my favourite barman and read a bit more of my book. I definitely believe in striking the balance on this mortgage freedom journey. Could potentially be MF (well the main mortgage) by the time dd is 18 but I don't want to miss out on all the memory making along the way.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

It was a lovely gift, off my usual benefactor!
Quick check of the accounts and made a 4p Tilly tidy. Am completely losing track of the days with being away. Have done between 16 and 19k steps each day by going for a walk after breakfast and being fairly active the rest of the time. Not over indulging so hoping for a small weight gain at worse when I get home. I think some people may use AI as a chance to eat rubbish but all I see is a chance for tasty salads, a few treats and of course the odd magnum! Have found I've gone off alcohol though so just had a couple of glasses of wine the first night.
It is lovely to see so many people active along the beach each morning, such a different way of life.
Anyone still doing 'daily clicks' on tcb? I have come across a few whilst searching for humming birds.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Morning all.
A few holiday drinks resulted in me feeling less than 100% all day yesterday. Just felt like my blood sugar was low and couldn't get it up and head a lingering headache. Think I'm going to go alcohol free when home. I drink so rarely now I can't see it being difficult. It really does just become a habit and we fell into a 'fizzy Friday' routine.
Some accounts shuffled today as car payments gone out. There was just over £10 in one and £3 in the other so that's been moved to main account and 11p Tilly tidied. Tcb payout has landed but I had already overpaid that.
Gave the children £5 (euros) to spend on games machines last evening but other than buying a couple of inflatables for the pool we have had no other spends.
I believe the weather has turned at home so I'm definitely going to make the most of the sunshine here.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
We also got into the habit of having a relaxing drink most days but was finding the start of the following day a real effort. Since we decided to cut right back we've felt better.0

Well we're back and after snoozing on the coach and plane don't feel completely exhausted....yet.
Have unpacked one case and put a load of washing on. Weather not looking great so I'll leave it to dh to sort out.
20p from tcb has landed and overpaid to mortgage. Will update spreadsheet later as have made a few Tilly tidied this week. Also came home with 55 euros meaning we only spent 60 euros which is great. We'll change that money back and it will form our budget until payday, 9 days to go.
Daily clicks done on tcb and they are tracking consistently with a 7 week payout time. Could do with finding some more higher paying ones that are worth the effort!
First world problems here, my new step tracker isn't working. Ran out of battery and now won't charge! Quickly charging up my fitb1t with a broken strap and will pop it in my sock or pocket so can still track.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
