Payday for dh today so more money shuffling done. Sent an extra £300 to t3sco card and sent the £300 overpayment to mortgage with an extra 50p Tilly tidy.
Decided against an expensive new fitb1t, and bought a cheap but similar tracker off 3bay for £20 so that should be here today courtesy of @mazon prime.
25p on y0ugov, think I completed the 10 they said I would get plus the additional 100 points so seems a bit slow on there now.
I think all pre-holiday spending is done. Just a small top up shop may be needed, we have enough fuel in both cars and I don't think dh is taking the children out again tomorrow.
Hoping to squeeze in more credit card overpayments after our holiday as it's only 9 days to payday when we get back.
Busy day ahead, blood test before work, full day at work then having my haircut. I can't believe how much this week is dragging considering we have had a bank holiday. I know there's lots of teachers on here so I wish for it to go slowly for you but my word it's slow!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Well Friday has been and gone! It was dh birthday yesterday so we enjoyed a lovely evening at ho e with good food, he had wine (I did not) and we watched a film. Simple pleasures.
It seems I was a little generous with the t3sxo payments and now we are overdrawn. I think it will even out over the month so will just tell myself it was premature planning as that's where any surplus funds were going to go. Even writing that makes me feel better!
100 points on y0ugov yesterday so should cashout by end of the year. Dh did a food shop so I need to receipt and to work out August total spends.
Right, off to get things done so I can have a more relaxed afternoon.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Hello Cath have just finished your diary from the beginning. Wow what a journey and so inspiring!
I hope your new job is fab and bet you're loving having stayed and extended, think of the stamp duty, stress and moving fees you'd have spent. You're no doubt looking forward to hols too.
I'm an early riser, bujo user (love combining it with my Hobonichi) and g/f for 3 years now. I see we are anniversary twins too, as we celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary next year too, def planning something special, perhaps Florence which I loved and we stopped at during honeymoon travels.
Your, Edinburgher, Julicorn and OurCornerCottage diaries have been so inspirational :T, I've started my own and do hope you'll drop by sometime. I've been overpaying mortgage for 3 years now, it's become a habit but I can feel current renovations may break the plans ha :rotfl:MFW #185

Hi eagerlearner, thank you so much for popping in and reading my whole diary! There had been so much indecision around the house but we definitely made the right decision staying put. We've even been able to accommodate my mum on a short-medium term basis so am glad we have the space. Will definitely look for your diary and cheer you on.
It's the most wonderful hotel on the costa brava, this is our 3rd visit in two years (not very MSE but we are also overpaying by at least £300 a month). If they are white chocolate magnums I am doomed!
Round up of supermarket spends in August
£214.54 so pretty pleased with this as also includes wine for dh.
Need to set some September financial goals which I may do sat in the sunshine next week. Hoping to maximise my bujo use on the lead up to Christmas.
I may also need dissuading from booking for cp at Christmas!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Your supermarket spends are fab! What sort of meals are you having? I'm so stuck on meal ideas at the moment and even though we have all the veg in the world co I got home from the allotment I still seem to be spending loads."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
